There is a large front patio with wrought iron chairs and tables with umbrella for outside dining. On the old Aloni (threshing circle) there are two sofas and a table for sitting in the morning or watching the sunset. The large pool terrace has a mixture of Steamer style wooden chairs, sun loungers and a selection of chairs and tables for sitting around and enjoying the pool. The terrace and gardens have been cleverly landscaped to provide separate areas. A perfect retreat for a family or group holiday. Within a few minutes walk are 2 tavernas, with great home cooking and take out service. Also Ektos cafe bar which does great snacks and meals. There is a local small supermarket, corner shop and petrol station. Just outside the village on the road to Fiscardo is a larger Bazaar supermarket. Almond house is well situated, within 10 mins drive to the popular and colourful yachting harbour of Fiscardo and 15 mins to the quiet and picturesque fishing village of Assos with its imposing Venetian fortress. The famous Myrtos beach is 20 mins drive and many other local beaches, Emblissi, Alaties and Agia Jerousalim can be reached in about a 10 minute drive.

Amigdalospito está situado no norte intocada de Kefalonia com suas enseadas escondidas e praias tranquilas. Fiscardo, popular com a fraternidade yachting, é um ótimo lugar para passear pelo porto, visitar as muitas pequenas lojas e cafés ao longo da beira da água. Contrate um pequeno barco para o dia e explore as pequenas praias do norte e mergulhe com tubo de respiração nas belas águas cristalinas. Assos tem uma imponente fortaleza veneziana e uma pequena praia, ideal para explorar ou nadar. A famosa praia de Myrtos é especialmente impressionante quando vista das falésias do norte na estrada acima. Praias locais de Agia Gerousalim e Alaties têm incrível natação, snorkeling e boas tabernas com excelente comida. Outras praias podem ser encontradas dentro de 10-15 minutos de carro da casa.

O serviço de ônibus é um pouco limitado em Kefalonia e, portanto, aluguer de automóveis é aconselhável quando ficar no Amigdalospito (Almond House).
