Beautiful Charming Portuguese Villa Fantastic Family Holiday Location
Thank you Eleanor and Roger, we finally made it back to your Beautiful Charming Portuguese family Villa. On arrival Anita had the lights on everything inside and outside was perfect. Our days out where action packed, Water parks, boat trip and exploring the may wonderful towns and beaches. The girls invited friends up from Albufeira several times, taking full advantage of the new BBQ outside the kitchen and lots of fun in the pool. As usual excellent restaurants in the Village, but also tried a few in the Old Town, using the brilliant Uber Taxis in the area, arriving within minutes and 10 euro. So the girls enjoyed the nightlife of Albufeira after dinner with no problems getting back to Guia. As us Oldies enjoyed an Aperitif in the beautiful peaceful Tranquil gardens. A Fantastic Family Holiday in your lovely home enjoyed by all. Until the next Time The Porters. ALMOST forgot great Uber Eats delivery service from most of the restaurants Ramires our Favourite.

Comfortable & Homely Villa
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was very clean and tidy and maintained to a very good standard. All your home comforts are already provided here for you; tv, internet (though I think it struggled a little when all 4 of us were logged on!) air conditioning in bedrooms, hairdryer, towels & bedding were changed half way through our stay and cleaning was also done then as well. There are plenty of areas to sit and chill both in and out of the glorious sunshine. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. The pool was fantastic, we did pay for heating it and it was needed as the pool was in constant use from early morning to evening. The facilities provided made for an extremely relaxing holiday for us. The area was lovely and quiet. A car is needed to stay here. We were close by to other more commercial/tourist areas that we could visit and then leave to return to our peace and quiet. There is a very large shopping centre less than 10 minute drive away that has an enormous supermarket as well as lots of clothing etc shops. I would 100percent recommend this villa to others and look forward to returning here in the future.

Excellent holiday escape
Wonderful restful 10 day stay at this villa. Everything as expected. In a wonderful quiet area of Quinta dos Alamos. Only 30 minutes from Faro airport and easy to find . Close to all supermarkets, beach, restaurants. Grandchildren really enjoyed the pool and the parents and grandparents enjoyed the lemons on the tree with their G&T.

Superb Villa and Pool
Casa dos Passarinhos really is a charming villa with beautiful well established surrounding gardens. The villa is extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. Clean sheets and beds made up; clean towels plus pool towels for all four of us. On arrival, a friendly introduction from Adrian and Lynn who look after the villa. The best Welcome Pack we've ever had which included more than the usual essentials, plus beers and two bottles of wine. There are at least three outside dining areas, as well as a dining table indoors. The pool is superb and we used it every day. Our two teenage sons loved having a pool to ourselves! We could have paid extra for it to be heated, but it didn't need to be, as temperatures were averaging a sweltering 33 degrees. Air-con in the bedrooms was welcomed! There are plenty of outside chairs and sun loungers and a BBQ area with another table and seating. Everything was top quality.
Guia itself is a quaint little village and takes about 10 to 15mins to walk. There is a large piece of land used as a free car park just before the centre of the village which was handy as well. Plenty of local restaurants to try out. The Football Club Cafe is very popular and extremely cheap. (€3.30 for two coffees and a Fanta can)
Algarve Shopping Centre has a huge hypermarket which stocks everything. Again parking is free. Sadly the deli market in the village was no longer trading.
We found Guia was a really good base to explore West and East Algarve, but especially enjoyed coming back for a dip in the pool and relax, after a morning's venture. Thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay.

Awesome relaxing home from home holiday!
We have had the most amazing two weeks hols at this villa, as previous comments have said it is such a gorgeous villa with a beautiful pool that you don't spend much time out as you just want to get back there. It truly was a home from home and the first holiday that both my husband and I felt totally relaxed on, the kids loved the pool and I was sure they were going to grow fins with the amount of time they were in it. The village of guia is just a ten minute walk and it has amazing restaurants in it, Vilamoura is half hour drive away but definitely well worth a visit, we cannot wait to come back again next year. Nikki x

A beautiful home from home
Casa dos Passarinhos is a beautiful, calm, comfortable "home from home" and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our week in the sun.
It was our first visit to Portugal and we managed to get out and about in the car to explore the coast and the mountains but to be honest we never wanted to spend much time away from the villa. Our first villa break, it was everything we had hoped for, so comfortable and so well equipped, we felt very spoilt!
The location is ideal, very easy to find, far enough away from the touristy hub of Albufeira but within easy reach of the coast (10 min drive at most) and a big shopping complex with a fabulous hypermarket (5 min drive). The village of Guia has many places to eat out and is within walking distance.
Traditional Portuguese decor throughout which adds to the charm, pretty tiled bathrooms and the split level living room/dining room area is so airy and spacious but with all home comforts plus a HUGE television and wi-fi internet access. All rooms are very spacious, modern aircon units in bedrooms, plenty of wardrobe and drawer storage space, comfy beds, all towels provided and changed mid-week for us.
Our favourite pastime was relaxing on the loungers watching the birds coming and going amongst the trees, and then a dip in the lovely pool to cool down. We loved the extremely comfortable outdoor seating areas, where we spent most of our time, the pool, the big kitchen, comfy bed, pretty bathrooms, BIG TV (wow), gorgeous garden and the welcome pack of food and drink was exceptionally good and very much appreciated after a long journey.
The local management team (Lynn and Adrian) work very hard to make sure that you want for nothing, they clearly want to make sure that guests have a holiday to remember.
All in all, we had a perfect time in this beautiful villa, thank you so much.

This is the best house in the Algarve!!
What a wonderful, welcoming home. Everything you need for the perfect holiday. Pictures don't do the house justice. It is so relaxing. Bright and airy kitchen which is fully equipped for catering, lovely cosy dining room for formal meals, wonderful log fire for chilly evenings. The outside space is fab, pool is small, but perfect, and patios are spacious, and very well furnished. Only downside was that the bar-b-que is too far away from the kitchen and dining area, and the cupboards in the kitchen are all at ground level, which isn't great if you have a crocked back like me. Ask around to get the short cut into town, which is only a few minutes walk, and the local bar at the top of the road is great fun in the evenings. All round a lovely village with really friendly people who are so helpful. I cannot recommend this villa highly enough, and I will def be back. Funny enough, the guest book in the villa is full of returned visitors, that's testament enough for me.

What a lovely positive review, we will take your comments on board re the Barbeque, may move it nearer the kitchen and dining room when suitable.
Re the kitchen cupboards, there is no easy solution, however the tall pantry cupboard is convenient and frequently used items could be kept here for convenience during a stay for guests with back problems.

Wonderful villa, and great location for exploring the Algarve
The owner was kind enough to allow us to access the property a few hours early, and we found it well-equipped and clean. There was a handy 'welcome pack' of basic food and provisions provided on arrival.
The kitchen was spacious, and equipped to a high standard. The lounge area and dining area were comfortable, and we enjoyed playing 'hunt the light switch' as switches seemed to outnumbered lights by quite a margin! The two bedrooms (one double, one twin) were both en-suite, with the double bedroom in a separate lockable section of the house. Temperatures did hit 37 celsius during our stay, so perhaps it was optimistic to expect the aircon to cope perfectly, but ordinarily the aircon would be more than adequate for the size of the rooms.
The outdoor space was wonderful - two separate dining areas, one under cover and one in the small gardens, and a separate BBQ area. Outdoor seating provided round the good-sized pool, ranging from 1m to 2m in depth. Certainly no need for pool heating, although it was an option.
The villa is on what seems to be a relatively newly-built residential area, around 10-15 minute stroll from Guia village. Easy access from Faro Airport (around 45 mins), even if you avoid the toll-charging motorway. Guia village has everything you need for a holiday, with the commercial Algarve Shopping complex just 5 minutes down the road. Perhaps the only grumble is that the villa is surrounded by houses with dogs ... and the local dogs' choir does need some tuning.

We always try to accommodate guests arriving early from flights, so they can be relaxing by the pool before lunchtime. If the villa is ready and sparkling clean,this is possible, but you can leave your luggage at the villa and go down to the village for a coffee or beer to let the housekeeper make the villa perfect for you.
The dogs barking, this was mainly a little pup who was being trained, across the park. I am delighted to say he has now settled down very well and has matured, the barking has ceased.
He has lovely manners now. Just the birdsong to disturb the peace!
We are delighted you had a wonderful holiday and everything postcard pretty Guia and the Algarve has to offer, hope you will return in the future.
