Savor the tranquility of a spacious two story antique home renovated with modern conveniences. This lovely pre civil war building has a modern kitchen , a period living room and dining room on the original first floor layout, along with a sunny sitting room with gas fireplace and a modern bedroom and bath added where the former carriage passway stood. The three bedrooms upstairs, like the living and dining room, reflect the architecture of the period, but with a large added modern bathroom.
The side door opens to a lovely patio facing the east, while the view from the west of the house is of the period barn adjacent to the field and creek and also the Iron Bridge, a more than century old one lane bridge across the Conodoguinet Creek. Parking for up to six vehicles is available under roof...

Parking for up to six vehicles is available under roof beside the barn.
Opossum Lake, a 59 acre recreation area managed by the PA Fish and Boat Commission, is just minutes away. Canoeing, kayaking and tubing are possible on the Conodoguinet Creek. Eagle Creek Golf Course is less than a mile from the house.
Visitors are less than 10 minutes from Carlisle, settled in 1751. George Washington did sleep here before his departure as head of the army to quell the Whiskey Rebellion. Historic sites in town include a revolutionary war Hession Guard house, the Molly Pitcher grave, and Old West, a building on the national historic register designed by Benjamin Latrobe, architect of the US Capitol. Carlisle has numerous parks and restaurants, Dickinson College and Law School, and is well known for both its Car Shows and antique shops.
