So sorry to get a negative review such as this and have investigated this with management and staff . There have never been negative reviews about cats because there has never an incident such as this and there has never been a cat problem at Zi Villa . Cats are never allowed access to run in and out of the house at will but Management advises that there were baby kittens born and around during our guests stay , but it was the children that invited them into the house and into the bedroom to play with them as can be expected from any children anywhere. If management had been advised at any time that the cats or Kittens were a problem they would have been able to addrerss the problem immediately but it was never mentioned or that anyone was allergic to cat .
Unfortunately as this was not the case and the first we ( staff or I) heard of this was when a refund of a nights accommodation was requested for the accident caused by the kittens being locked in the kids bedroom for the last night no action was taken during the stay to solve this unknown issue .
There are definitely cats in the area as there is a fisherman's village only a km away but we have no resident cats . Cats are not normally allowed access into the house but its very conceivable that guests love cats and staff might feed some and they might return regularly and become pests.
We will certainly address this issue and fully expect that a problem like the one described, which has never occured before will not ever occur again .
Mangement has been asked to pay a particular interest in this problem now that it has become an isue that has negatively affected our guests,
as we thrive on positive feedback.
