We stayed for one night only in the Algonquin cottage and were very disappointed in the quality. The cottage was not clean there was hair in the bathroom, bugs in the tub, a suspicious brown stain on the bedroom curtains. There was no internet service so no streaming is available, although there is a dvd player.
The worst issue was the beds - the mattresses were thin and old and so uncomfortable we couldn't sleep at all. The pillows were old and stained and the bedding provided was not something you would want to sleep on. We did bring our own bedding and pillows but it didn't help. I did not get a wink of sleep and we left in the morning.
The beach and water were lovely and the location is beautiful. I would just advise if you are a person who is used to comfortable beds don't stay here.

My family and I have been renting several cottages here for 4 summers now. We LOVE it. the cottages are somewhat outdated but for the price, you cant complain! They have everything you need and more. Always a good week away. Cant wait to go back in July!!

3rd summer at Catalina Bay with family. 3 cottages every July for a great week. Cottages are 2 or 3 bedroom. The resort has a boat launch, docks, boat rentals, free paddle boat or kayaks and an onsite restaurant. The only thing missing is a small store but Buckhorn is only 5 minutes down the road so everything is available close by. The lake is warm and clean as it’s a shallow lake with access to the Trent-Severn waterway. There’s a great sandy beach area with plenty of chairs but bringing your own folding camp chairs is a good idea. The chipmunks are very friendly and enjoy the peanuts 🥜 we always give them. Liz is fabulous and makes sure everything is taken care of. Cottages are clean and comfortable. Looking forward to next summer.

Wonderful Lakeside Pub/Restaraunt at Catalina Bay Resort just north of Buckhorn, ON. on Bald Lake. Accessible by boat or automobile. Our experience was very relaxed atmosphere with excellent food choices and quality presentations. Ownership and Team at Bellys are very engaged with the clients and are all a lot of fun. I know this will definitely be a regular stop for us as we were impressed with food quality, presentation, and prices. Very fun spot!!!!!!!!

Spent a week with family at this resort. We had 3 cottages for the week. The cottages are all fine, they're a bit dated but nothing to worry about. One cottage was missing the screen door but no big deal. The restaurant there is very good. Lots of boats arriving for lunch and dinner there. Seems to be a destination for boaters. The sandy beach is well maintained but outside of the designated swimming area is all weeds. The owners are very nice and accommodating. Will be returning every summer for the same week with family. The website definitely needs a facelift. Pictures of specific cottages, lists of amenities in the cottages, bed types, etc. All these should be on the website.
