One room had no hot water and another room had no cold water! Wifi was impossible. The room was dirty, the mosquito nets had big holes. The door handle came off in you hand and the glass in the window was broken.
The room was infested with mosquitoes, at first it looks clean but the pillow casese were full of tears and the pillow itself was filthy. The real problem are the BED BUGS. I would like to add that the staff is made up of deceiving liars, among other things I accepted to pay a bit more of similar hotels for the use of wifi: there are two networks, one open and the other one with password. The open network didnt work, the one with password was rather slow but should have worked to send a few important emails. Five minutes later however the guy changed the password and refused to supply it. My suggestion is:stay away
A cute little place, but with not much around it (a few shops and restaurants, and one of the town’s many college campuses). The lovely manager speaks excellent English and was somewhat helpful. Rooms were small but clean (bar the giant dead cockroach near my bed), and the shower super hot (albeit with very little water pressure - it stayed hot even after two of us had long showers just to get the shampoo out of our hair). Toilet wouldn’t flush (use the bucket filled with water in the bathroom) and beds were far too soft. Very grateful for the big, soft fluffy bath towels! Rooms were a bit warm/stuffy - no fan - and some of our friends slept with their door open to let in some air. We opened the barred window and things were a bit better. Some rooms (not ours) have private balconies - great for hanging laundry you’ve just done in the sink. Laundry is cheap if you want the staff to do it for you. WiFi was typical of Ethiopia - poor at best. Cafe downstairs was showing football - very popular with locals and my friends - however ... they only serve limited drinks (no alcohol) and breakfast (included in our room rate) was either an omelet or fule (spicy Ethiopian dish), despite a somewhat extensive menu. Airport is only about 2.5km away. I took a bajaj to get there to catch my flight back to Addis (150 birr, about 15 minutes).…
I FELT DISCRIMINATED BECAUSE MY SKIN COLOUR. in the beginning he said that the rates increased because the hight season, but i found the rates on a wall and it said that foreign must to paid 25% more than the local people.
