One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Felt like home from the moment I walked in. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding. I would like to give credit to the lady who was working the morning shift on Saturday 11th Dec. She couldn’t do enough and the same for the lady chef, perfect breakfast and both were so friendly. The room decor is absolutely beautiful. The shower was a wet room which was great. And the bed….oh my god…best night sleep in a very long time! Throughly recommend this place. I will be returning, hopefully not just for the one night
Stayed for 2 nights during a cycling trip to West Wales. Availability was scarce everywhere until we came across this new hotel. The hotel is clearly being refurbished, and in all honesty, has the potential to be lovely when it's complete. Unfortunately it was really not in a state to be open just yet and it was obviously a rushed decision. Positives: - Friendly staff, particularly the maintenance manager who went out of his way to help - Breakfast was really good - and the coffee was top notch - Very clean - Smart TV was great - able to watch Netflix :) Negatives: - Not ready to be open, so a few 'safety' issues around furniture stacked up, hoovers with cables everywhere. No fire information in any of the rooms. We had a fire alarm on our first night and had no idea whatsoever where to go. We didn't see any staff members during the fire evacuation so just followed everyone else in and out. - Check in wasn't that smooth. They had no record of our payment initially, but then found it "on a different system". We'd requested a Twin Room, but ended up with a double. It was sorted eventually after a total staff panic, requiring us to get changed in the toilets and head out for some food while they sorted it. - We locked our room door whenever we left it, but it was always unlocked when we returned. Not great considering we left valuables in the room. - Would have been nice to have had a change of towels for the 2nd night. - Not sure this should be classed as a 'boutique hotel' - the furniture was quite cheap and will fall apart/look shabby after just a few months. It's more of a mid-range hotel £75-£90 a night, not £130. - Could do with nets/blinds on the windows - no privacy from houses opposite and quite bright in the mornings.…
The hotel is still being refurbished. No bar, no restaurant. The room (room 3) was small but fine (clean, good bed and towels, tea, cofee, TV etc). There was no useable Wi-Fi (the signal was not strong enough) and 4G signal (EE) was only available to me in the morning - not strong enough in the evening so no option for late working. The bathroom was poorly decorated (rusting radiator top, patchy grouting, paint spots on door handle etc) and the cheapest of plastic toilet seats slipped to one side when sat on. Overlooked by houses opposite (no net curtains) and close to the road so windows had to be kept closed. Not worth the £110 I paid, but everywhere else was full.
This Hotel is described as a Boutique Hotel ! More Blackpool B&B than Boutique. Its being renovated and if this is the final product - GIVE UP. We paid £125 for 1 night this did not include breakfast - I'm pretty pleased it didn't as I don't think I would have chosen to dine here at any cost. Place is filthy and decoration is very poor, old furniture stacked everywhere. Would have paid £25 a night but not £125 its a disgrace don't know how its #11 on Tripadvisor.
