On the positive side - This is a Raid in the Centre of Kasba Tadla, and old ( built in 1930) with a large central lounge. and traditional Moroccan rooms. It was easy to park outside. There is WIFI in the lounge area but not in the rooms. Tarek is the manager and is a nice guy, he cooks a great breakfast, it really was excellent, hot fresh large omelettes, fresh bread, hot coffee, and much more, see photos.I loved the breakfast every day, the highlight of the day in fact. Well done tarek. He tried hard to make our stay good, but........ On the down side, the room was dirty, we asked about cleaning, he said he would arrange it, nothing happened so we went and picked up some cleaning products and cleaned it ourselves. It had not been cleaned properly in years. The TV was not working on the first day, but Tarek fixed it, which was good. The room was really cold. It had an air con unit, but the heating part did not work. The blankets were smelly and not really clean. The hot water sometimes worked. The carpet on the floor was trying to run away, it had so much wildlife in it. Ha ha ... We went and purchased some blankets, and in the back of my car i had a Heated Electric Blanket that I have brought over from the UK as a gift, we used it.... it was perfect. The problem is, in the rural areas of Morocco, they have no idea what tourists want and need, they have never travelled outside of Morocco, and do not have a clue regarding what is required. We paid 470.00 MAD per night which for the location and the whole experience was double what it should have been. When we left Kasba Tadla, we drove to Fez and stated in the IBIS, this was like staying in a 5* hotel compared to this Raid. Paying just 400.00 MAD per night. There is another hotel in Tadla, however, this is even worse. Tarek did offer us a different room, which was very kind of him, however, this was even more dirty that the one we had, and the top of the toilet was completely missing and full of ****. I spent 10 years in the Army, but even I felt this was a "Bridge too far " even for me. The strange thing is, I would stay here again, as its the only place near my wife's family, and also I quite enjoyed the crazy Moroccan experience. I will take sheets, towels and cleaning kit when I do. If you do not believe me, see the photos attached to this review. As I said Tarek is a very nice man. He did his best, but this is just not enough. I wish that this Raid, would up its game, improve the service and cleaning as it could be absolutely fantastic.... Richard and Noura Dear…
I spent a night in Kasba Tadla and I made a reservation by email from the website of this riad. Tarik the manager replied me rapidly. He is very kind and welcoming when I arrived at the riad and I was a bit surprised that the entrance of the hotel has a banner 'Riad Sidi'. Tarik prepared me a very nice lunch with delicious beef tajine. The dining room is in the splendid moroccan salon. I stayed in the red room (la chambre rouge) with a big bed, nice toilet inside the room , and air-conditioned. My driver stayed the blue room which has 2 beds (one queen size and a single bed) but there's no toilet inside. The satellite tv works pretty well. The wifi is only available at the salon. In summary, this is a nice place to stopover in Kasba Tadla and have some nice meals.
