Eu aluguei na outra casa do proprietário, a Architect's Inn, e aproveitei cada minuto dela. Desta vez, alguns amigos e eu queria ter um mini-férias em Newport por isso decidimos que iria tentar Inn Bliss. Que mimo! Não há nada como ficar em uma casa histórica que foi bem mantida.

Só para citar alguns ... o lixo não foi retirado os inquilinos anteriores. Quando nos aproximamos o proprietário estava um pouco blaze' sobre que tema. Ser uma semana quente e úmid

This is the same person from the previous review titled Rude Owners. This customer has had her friends write reviews against us for same stay because she has a personal vendetta against us for some reason. This same customer posted reviews against us on other websites and legal issues are pending against this customer but Tripadvisor still believes that the reviews should be posted. I do not understand how we can go from the Top 5 inns in Newport to our currently position overnight due to one single bad customer who is taken advantage of review websites like they are her own personal blog. It is a shame that Tripadvisor allows customers like this post their reviews and does not make any effort to screen the customer.

OMG this woman has been such a pain from the beginning. She booked a few months ago. Everything was done by email messaging through the travel agent so we have a very very very clear record of what was said and not said because all of our conversation was written down. Her account of what happened written above was totally twisted. First of all, the personal attack on me about being snarky is total exaggeration. My total interaction with her and her friends was for 15 minutes and I have been very pleasant to her on text message, on email and in person..... I told her all the secret places to go and I gave them all my personal tips to make sure they had a great vacation. But I am highly logical which allows me to look through absurd her demands and her blackmail attempts. She thinks I am snarky because I do not have a sign on my back that says KICK ME or I DO WHAT THE IDIOT TELLS ME TO DO.....maybe she needs to go read her Funken Wagnel because she doesn't know the meaning apparently. Anyway.....In her very first email to us she described the rental, i.e. room layout and bathrooms etc....so we knew she knew exactly what she was renting. So she says she loves it and thinks it is a good fit for her group. She books it immediately. Then two months after that she emails again saying that we changed the description of the house on the rental website. We did no such thing. I know that for sure because every time a change is made to that website it is documented and time stamped with in the rental website history. The travel agent can verify that. It had not been changed in over a year. She had the gaul to ask for some sort of compensation because now her friends will be inconvenienced....SHE HAD NOT EVEN ARRIVED YET! HELLO!! I told her No and I will cancel her reservation right away because obviously she thinks our property is the wrong fit for her group. I got such a negative vibe from her too. She said she didn't want to cancel that she just wanted money off the bill. I refused of course because we did absolutely nothing wrong and she dropped it. I seriously thought of just giving their money back at this point but the travel agent would be hugely upset so I kept them on. Basically...She claimed that the change was that originally the sitting rooms with pull out beds was described to be completely private spaces with their own doors. Uh NO!! That is why they are called sitting rooms and not bedrooms. Bedrooms are private and have doors while living rooms and sitting rooms are open spaces because they are semi common areas. I looked back and read back to her the original email she sent to us describing the house and the layout exactly as it is. She did not like that I threw her own words back at her because she apparently forgot so she pouted and then dropped the case. Clearly a short term memory problem. But the fact she wrote about it in her review is so ridiculous because she agreed that it would be ok, otherwise I would have more than happily cancelled her reservation. I do not like negative energy in the house because it is such a happy house. :-)))) If this case was not so well documented, I would not been able to write this response so easily. She really is not a very smart person for trying to ask for money back when she knows the documentation is there that makes her look like she is trying scam us. Anyway so she arrives. Everything seems ok. Her friends seem really nice. She was still a bit pouty but I figured she was just stressed from the ride into Newport on a holiday week. So the previous guests broke the hot tub ( and they left the same day that she arrived so I had absolutely no warning). There was a leak somewhere and I thought it would be fine at first but then soon realized that it was not going to work properly. The closest hot tub repair man lives 150 miles away and was not available because it was 4th of July weekend. The 4th was a Thursday so everyone (and their mothers) took a very long weekend to party this year. No one was available to fix the tub. But as luck would have it....it was 100 degrees and sticky sticky humidity in Newport. So when this group asked about the hot tub, I told them the truth that it was broken and I couldn't get it repaired until the following week. But I also told her that the hot tub is not going to be her friends top pick of things to do because the weather was so hot and since the beach is a short walk away, that they should probably go for a cool dip rather than a hot bath. Doesn't that make sense?? How was I to know that these people pack fur coats to go to Florida? She also rented a partial week which is highly unusual since we normally get weekly renters. Because of this and also combined with the 4th of July schedule, the trash pick up was not in her favor. The trash pick up was Monday after she left. If she had rented the whole week it wouldn't have been a problem but because she only wanted to stay during the holiday time period, she had to deal with the trash from the previous renters as well as her own groups trash. There was a lot of trash and I tried to have Waste Management pick it up sooner but ....again....4th of July schedule would not permit it. So they leave, and we had a list of them to do to clean up. They did half of what they should have done. My housekeeper told me about a few things so I decided to go over and look for myself. Sure enough, they didn't do so many things. Plus they were told not to go through my families antique tea cups and china, and we found two piece from the set on the dining room table being used. And we found glassware from other parts of the house stuffed into the china hutches so we know they were going in and out of the antique set. There is also this beautiful antique window frame that sits in the foyer as decoration. It was apparently knocked over because one of the corners was popped out of the frame. Luckily I caught it was able to glue it before any more permanent damage was done. The windows were open in the bathroom with the air conditioners on. The kitchen was a mess and red sticky stuff was ALL over the refrigerator and some of the cabinet doors. Etc etc. Basically there was several things wrong when they left. Knowing her passive aggressive personality, I decided to gracious return the security deposit even though I had grounds to keep it for the extra work the housekeeper and I put in as well as the damaged antique window, however, I figured they were being passive aggressive because they really wanted the hot tub in 100 degree weather. So I thought I just called it even Steven at that point. A week later (just after she received her security deposit back) she starts emailing again. She says how much she had a wonderful time and everything was great etc etc...... but then in the same breath..... she starts asking for a refund of $100 and if I didn't she would write bad reviews everywhere about us. Now at this point we were a bit taken aback. We do not respond well to extortion. Actually I do know anyone who really does!! But especially since she already tried to get money out of us before she even arrived and we gave her a second chance. So we told her exactly what we just explained to you about how she left the house a mess and we still returned the security deposit. She still did not seem satisfied. So I tried a different approach and offered her a free night the next time she came and stayed (which is like a $950 value) but would benefit us to have her much nicer friends be repeat customers even though their group leader is like something out of Sybil. Not to mention she booked through a travel agent so I didn't even have an address to send a check and it would such a long ordeal just to get her information and deal with the travel agency that it was just not going to happen. Again she refused. I mean who turns away $950 for $100?? So then I was said, even if we refund the money there is no guarantee she will not switch personalities and write the bad reviews anyway. So I decided to consult with the travel agent on what their opinion was of this situation and if we were doing the right thing. Then less than 8 hours later, she started writing bad reviews on various websites..... WHAT? ...we had not even given her an answer yet on whether or not we would refund her money. Told ya! Total Sybil!
