I actually hesitated to write a review because I want to keep this great secret place to myself. I've stayed here several times, and have always walked away happy. The "resort" is made up of 6 cabins, 2 rooms and a bunkhouse. They tell me there is a couple of hook-ups for a camper, but I've yet to find them. All of this is in the back parking lot of the Waumandee House restaurant and bar. This, as well as a bank, a church, a small store, and some other scattered buildings/businesses make up the tiny farming town of Waumandee. We've stayed exclusively in the cabins. They are newer construction, very clean, and well built. This last fact is important, as cabins this close together built differently would most likely leave you listening to outside noises at night. These cabins are quiet. Each cabin has two queen beds, and each cabin has a different decor theme. There are no fridges or microwaves. This is not a cabin in the sense you can "live" in it during your stay. The amenities are similar to a hotel room. Outside there is a fire pit for a campfire, and many nights we've spent time at the fire meeting our cabin neighbors. There is great food a few steps away at the bar/restaurant. There is a playground as well. Not sure if it belongs to the resort or the church next door, but it's a nice little playground for the kids. If I could change one thing about this place, I would change the outdoor furniture. Each cabin/room has a patio area. I would really appreciate more than the scattered chairs around the place. A table and a couple of chairs at each cabin would go a long way. The staff at the Waumandee House are excellent. We've had many great meals, fun nights, and excellent service at this small town establishment. The owner is very friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for guests. We stumbled in on karaoke night once, and he even sang us a tune. Surrounding the resort is an endless playground of motorcycling roads, making this an excellent home base for a weekend riding trip. This is exactly how we accidently found this place the first time we stayed, and it's now become at least a yearly stop on our weekend getaways.…
This is a small group of newer cabins out in the middle of nowhere, but they are clean cozy and relaxing. They are about 15 miles east of Alma Wisconsin and they are built in the parking lot next to the Waumandee House. The one we stayed in had a jacuzzi, it was very clean and the king sized bed was great. There is a winery a few minutes away, but the big attraction was the all you can eat broasted chicken at the Waumandee house. It was on a Wednesday when we stayed there and it was great. There were also softball games going on right behind the cabins.A funny getaway for not alot of money.
O Meu marido e eu ficamos aqui muitas vezes.
