It was our first family holiday in Cornwall and we loved it. I couldn’t pick a better location to stay- Holifield Farm Project has a good vibe, people are kind and friendly and hosts made sure we had everything we needed including total privacy. We had the most amazing week and Holifield Farm was a perfect base for us. Gweek has a lovely pub and grocery/bakery and on Wednesdays there is fish and chips van and on Fridays a pizza van. There is also a cafe and Seal Sanctuary- just walking down through the fields from the Holifield Farm Hostel (5 minutes walk). Gweek village is very well located for exploring southern Cornwall. We loved the Coastal Path at Lizard Point. Beautiful beaches and National Trust gardens are just a short drive away from Holifield Farm. Falmouth, Porthleven and Marazion are all within a quick drive. We also loved Trebah garden and Eden Project. We are a family of 4 and a cabin at Holifield Farm was just right for us-very calm location, beautiful views over the hills, spacious accommodation with fully equipped kitchen and bathroom, lovely outside garden with garden furniture and even BBQ available if we wished to use it. WiFi was very good and we were able to stream films etc. The cabin has a double bed and a sofa bed. Our kids (6 and 8 years old) shared a sofa bed and they were fine although older children would find it too small. I’d say the sofa bed is perfect for one person or 2 small children. I believe there was a travel cot available for people with babies/toddlers. Overall I would definitely recommend Apple View cabin at Holifield Farm Project.

I've actually never stayed at holifield hostel but I know holifield very well and I need to make a review for this one. Holifield it's a special place, it's perfect for a break and you might even meet lovely people during your stay here. My family and I love Holifield and it will always hold a place in our heart. It has lots of space for you to walk,enjoy sunsets, relax, play outside. It's a vegetarian hostel and is all stetted up for wheelchair users, what is quite rare to find. Also everyone at Holifield is really nice so if you've got the chance to meet them, you're in luck and make the most of it. If you see my other reviews, Holifield is my kind of place, off the beaten track, unique and where you can make your own beautiful unforgettable memories. Not a HolidayInn or Travelodge..

Found this absolute gem after abandoning our tent in a storm - we definitely struck gold with this one! Rob has set up the most welcoming, homely hostel with such a friendly environment, hidden in the Gweek valley. It is also a complete eco wonder, the whole place is so cleverly set up and promotes sustainability in every way possible. We originally booked for one night but chose to stay for two because we loved it so much. Will definitely be coming back! Some pictures from the beautiful walk in the 32 acres gounds of the hostel
