I visited the badger and the bear with my son and two of his friends. We had the most fantastic time learning survival skills and playing on the site. Nick was excellent with the kids and made sure they had fun as well as learning. I would highly recommend this adventure.

Just returned from a night at The Badger and The Bear. Had an excellent 24 hours. Lovely setting. Just our family ( 2 adults and children 6 and 10) and one other in separate camps. Host Nick welcoming and knowledgeable and struck a great balance between guided activity and self directed time. We are experienced campers but it was good to do something different. Kids loved the survival skills elements and the fire lighting as well as the quest booklet. Food tasty too. We would thoroughly reccommend this as a family adventure night away.

A wonderful experience. Our group ages were 4 to 70. Nick met us with maps ,activity booklet and water and showed us to our overnight A frame tent and tented toilet.Nicks knowledge was incredible and kept us all engaged on our adventure and was very patient with a very talkative 7 year old. The food he cooked for us at night and in the morning was so tasteful. It was great value for money. Thank you so much Nick

Just returned from a night at The Badger & The Bear. What an experience. I went with a group of girls and our children, ages from 5yrs to 10yrs. We were met by Nick who was our guide, maps and activity booklet in hand we were shown to our camps. What a beautiful place, the A frame beds or (my house) as I referred to it were really nice, cosy and fully equipped. Nick taught us the four survival techniques. We can now find and filter water, set traps for food, build a shelter and start a fire. Once we knew how to read a compass we were off to find the treasure. There was so much too do and we were all kept fully engaged, thanks to Nick's knowledge of the great outdoors. Fully exhausted we sat around the fire in the centre of camp with our steak, jacket potatoes and salad which were cooked to perfection. Pudding was roasted marshmallows which went do well will adults and kids. We all slept really well, warm all night and fully dry in the morning. Breakfast was amazing, sausage, eggs, toast and tea eaten around the fire. Time went too quick, kids already asking when we are going back. Great value for money. Nick was great he had all the time in the world for questions from the kids...and adults. The kids came across a newborn deer which has been abandon by its mother, luckily it must have only been to get food because it was gone by morning. Did I mention it rained most of the time? No because it didn't bother us, we were too busy having an adventure we hardly noticed. Will definitely return.

I visited The Badger and The Bear with my family and friends yesterday and can't believe how much everyone enjoyed it. It was really interesting for everyone as no one had ever did anything like this before. Yeah we've all tried normal camping, but this was just something so much more exciting and interesting. We had different age groups oldest being 40, youngest 4 and it was very surprising that it catered for everyone. We got to learn how to survive in the wild. We made a shelter and made a fire (which was fantastic as we all got involved. We did different quest's which was fun, we even got a prize at the end. There was always something to do which the children loved. One thing that we really liked was that Nick ( the man running the show that day) was able to share his life experiences with the group and he explained everything to us on how to survive and gave great tips. This really contributed to our wild camping experience and wouldn't have been the same if it had of been conducted by someone that didn't have those life experiences that Nick has had. It was suprising how comfortable those A frames were too sleep in, slept like a baby. The meals that were provided for us were much more than any of us expected. Those steaks were cooked to profection not forgetting those potatoes. Breakfast was beautiful too. We got a lot for what we paid.( think a bit too much ) We Will defintley be going back for more fun. I would definitely recommend visiting The Badger and The Bear.
