Discovering Mash Lodge was a blessing. The location is obvious but the hotel is masked by shops and offices. The rooms are quite spacious for the price. Rooms are clean and air conditioners are brand new so work well. Each room has both fan and AC. Room 13 has a faulty bath tub. The water takes a while to recede when you bath so you may have to stand in some water for a while. They do well to vary the breakfast with different fruits. The hotel is located right next to a popular restaurant making eating very convenient
A good deal for GHC 150! Stayed for 3 nights, room was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, hot water and AC both worked! Conveniently located on the Bolga road but set back enough to not get a lot of traffic noise. Is right beside Wooden restaurant -- has read reviews about noise from Wooden, my room faced directly at the restaurant and yes, I could hear music but it was not that loud or disruptive. Breakfast was self serve, typical eggs, bread and tea. They also provided fruit which was nice! Gave this lodge 4 stars for Tamale -- it is not luxurious but it is clean, comfortable, convenient and well priced.
For GHC 150 for the room was OK. I got a very comfortable nights sleep. Shower was good. AC was sufficient. Breakfast was very simple with only one egg allowed along with a banana and toast. TV with only local channels. Safe parking. Resturants close by. Laundry service available.
Stayed in a standard room while on a field mission. Located along one of the main roads cutting through Tamale. The room was spacious. TV with local channels, A/C, water heater and fridge all worked well. Fast wifi connection. Breakfast was served in a small dining area but unsure whether they served lunch/dinner. A restaurant called, 'Wooden', popular among local expats community is right next door. 2 issues: the room I stayed in on the ground floor had large glass windows facing corridors on 2 sides. Curtains could not be drawn tightly. Anyone who was in the corridors could easily see me inside. Loud music, probably played at a nearby local bar, continued till mid-night (it was Monday night). I needed to use A/C and the ceiling fan to cancel the noise. Other than these, it is a reasonable short stay option for business travelers.…
This is a newer basic hotel located directly off the main road running through Tamale. The manager tried very hard to be helpful and some things were out of his control. The electricity was intermittent; although a back up generator would kick it, it wasn't strong enough to run the air conditioners and it was quite hot and sultry. I stayed two nights. The rooms are spacious, simple furnishings, TV, fridge. Shower had hot water. Breakfast is self-serve - white bread, a fruit (e.g., an apple or piece of watermelon) and a boiled egg (sign says "one per guest"). There is a restaurant directly behind the hotel that serves pizza, pasta and sandwiches. One night bombastic music was playing at the restaurant until midnight.
