My wife and I have stayed at condo's from Destin to Marco Island in Florida during the month of February and have been delighted with every unit until we rented Castle Beach 404 on the south end of Ft. Myers Beach. The unit itself is outdated with lack of overhead lighting, no dishwasher, no beach towels, no television in the bedrooms (though the Royal Shell website shows there are) and no ceiling fans. If I were paying half of what I did I would have been ok with all of this but for what we paid all of these things should have been included as they have been in all of our other rentals. The unit itself wasn't very clean. After walking barefoot on the tile floor on the first day the bottom of my feet were black so I had to wash them and discontinue going barefoot. The eating utensils were dirty and we had to hand wash them along with the drinking glasses before we could use them. The shower door is something out of the 1970's it seems and mold and mildew were growing along the bottom of the door that I actually wiped off. There may be better units in this complex but stay away from unit 404 unless you are ok with overpaying for what I just described.

A hidden gem on the southern tip of Fort Myers Beach. It almost feels like its your private beach since its not crowded at all.
It’s beautiful and peaceful at Castle Bech Condominiums. It’s a small complex (only 24 units) which made it a very familiar atmosphere and we got acquainted with a few residents as well as other renters.
There is a grill area next to the building with a beautiful beach view which we used a lot.
A favorite restaurant at Fort Myers Beach “Flippers on the bay” is walking distance from Castle Beach.
Right across the bridge you will also find Lovers Key State Park with trails, fishing, paddle boards, beaches etc
