A lovely little hideaway up in Begnas village overlooking the beautiful lake. We were fortunate enough to be able to spend some time at Tarakuti and are floored by the amazing atmosphere around it. Tek dai, the driver who came to pick us up and drop us off later was super jovial and accommodating to our schedule. Subash, the young man who helps Basanta dai on the premises is full of stories about the surroundings, that he'll tell you as he walks you around the village. Both Subash and Basanta Dai also ensure that you are provided with every comfort. The structure itself is this amazing bamboo and steel frame with a rustic yet comfortable tent over it, which has a netted opening on one side that lets you wake up to the most magnificent view of the Begnas lake and the hills around it. We spent most of our time taking turns on the mango wood rocking chair staring at the magnificent view and laid back on the stone steps staring up at the flawless sky that we had that night.
