This villa was recommended to us by a travel agent at Dial-a-Flight (thanks Kylie!) for a holiday with friends (aged from 45 to 61) to get away from the cold and wet British winter. Bella Vita villa (no. 11) is located on a large secure and gated estate but the villas are well spaced apart for privacy. It’s a lovely large house with 4 huge bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms. The living areas are also large, spacious and comfortably furnished so it is easy to assemble in a group or find a quiet corner to sit alone for reading. The kitchen is large and well equipped and the cooking knives were sharp, which is not always the case in my experience of other villa rentals. The hosts welcomed us warmly, took us through the layout and facilities (security, lights, air con, WiFi, satellite tv etc.) and introduced us to both the housekeeper (Crystalline) and gardener (Erik) who would be maintaining the house during our stay.
Outside were two sets of table and chairs for alfresco dining, sun loungers and a small (but deep) swimming pool. The garden is well planted with mature trees and shrubs and leads down to a small lake (or large pond, depending on your perspective!) This feature was an unexpected highlight as it was populated by a wide variety of native bird species that we do not see in the UK. Fortunately we had brought some binoculars so were able to watch the birds from the comfort of the garden. The villa owners have provided a couple of good reference books so we could identify the bird species. The setting is stunning as we were surrounded by craggy mountains in the distance making for terrific photo opportunities.
A food parcel of bread, cheese, fruit and wine was provided on our arrival and the fridge had milk, water and fruit juice so we did not have to shop or cook on the first day. All of it was sourced within 10km of the villa, emphasising the foodie nature of the Cape Winelands.
The villa is well located between the towns of Paarl, Franschhoek and Stellenbosch and there are a number of lovely wineries within 5km for tastings and lunch. Most do not open in the evening so you need to drive into town for restaurants then. It is important to note that there are no shops bars or restaurants within walking distance of the villa so you do need a car.
We felt very comfortable in this beautiful and beautifully located house and cannot wait to return. Highly recommended.

Absolute wonderful experience we had, we will surely recommend this to anyone that want a relaxing time with top notch facilities, friendly staff and very secure. Our next trip to Paarl would definately include staying at La Bella Vita

Wir hatten noch nie so ein wunderschönes Zimmer. Umgeben von einer friedlichen Landschaft und toller Sicht. Ein sehr freundlicher Empfang mit leckerem Picknick Korb. Zum frühstücken liegt das babylonstoren gleich um die Ecke.

Notre arrivée a été ratée : le gardien ne voulait pas nous laisser passer (plus de 10 minutes de discussion pour que finalement un autre vienne nous ouvrir). Puis, le studio qui nous était destiné était déjà occupé (dans celui qui nous a été attribué, qui ne ressemblait pas aux photos et qui avait deux lits, d'autres noms étaient sur l'enveloppe de bienvenue).
Après un temps d'attente pour que la personne qui nous accueillait (très gentille par ailleurs) dise aux autres clients qu'elle s'était trompée, et nous remette tous à la bonne place, nous avions enfin le studio demandé; avec la déco souhaitée et un grand lit.
Le reste du séjour a été excellent : le studio est superbe, bien décoré, neuf, vue splendide sur les arbres, les oiseaux, le lac, les montagnes. Il y a possibilité de faire des promenades dans le parc, c'est très joli. La corbeille de bienvenue est parfaite : produits locaux délicieux.
En voiture, comptez quelques 15-20 minutes pour trouver un restaurant, au moins. Notre hôte s'est occupée de tout réserver.
Bref, un beau séjour, qui nous a permis de nous reposer en pleine nature.

I recently stayed in the Blush Studio at La Bella Vista Studios near Paarl. Upon check-in we were met by Julia who took the time to show us around the room and explain everything in detail. What a nice start to our stay. We received a very luxurious welcoming basket with wine, cheeses, freshly baked bread and more, sourced from the surrounding farms.
The studio is beautifully decorated and I especially enjoyed the big copper bath and the stunning amenities provided to make this an extra special experience. The view is magnificent and the wide sliding windows and patio door gives one the most beautiful views of the mountains and dam when lying in bed.
It has a well-equipped kitchenette with a Nespresso machine, filter coffee, teas, fridge and microwave if you felt the need to heat up something bought at one of the many wonderful surrounding farms. They also have free and fast wi-fi. A very nice touch I thought were the amazing books they had in the room which fitted the theme of the room so well. I could have very easily spend an entire day reading one of these books in the bay window.
I felt very save at the studio and in the estate. We also took an Uber to a local restaurant nearby for dinner and we had no trouble in finding one.
We really enjoyed our stay.
