This place proves that you can keep high standards even in remote places. The only negative thing that I found was the somewhat old-fashioned interior based of pine tree. However, the rest were great. Friendly and professional staff, great exhibition about the national park (included in the price), wonderful outdoor space including a botanical garden and an impressive kitchen garden. From the outside it looks great. I did not eat any meals there, but since they grow their own fresh vegetables, I would certainly try it next time.
Gode konferansefasiliteter.
Being within a national park is always a great way to see nature - not that in the more remote areas of Norway there is any lack of it. Nibio ended up being a good base to explore the area, and we drove every which way to spot wildlife. The hotel itself was basic but fine - somewhat small en-suite rooms, but who cares when you're in them only to shower and sleep. Lodgings were clean and comfortable, which to me is more important. We spent three nights there, and part of those happened in the weekend. Being so off season, we had our breakfast in the guest kitchen - all the provisions, like juice, butter, marmalade, cold cuts, cheese and salmon were left in the fridge for us, and there was fresh bread every day - every morning, which was absolutely fine. Two out of three evenings there was someone to cook dinner for us (we were asked if we had any issues eating fresh fish, reindeer and moose. The answer was no) and the food was great! On the third evening, a Sunday, a big pot of reindeer soup and a loaf of freshly baked bread were left for us in the guest kitchen. And it was yummy. There was a lot of snow and cold, and I spotted northern lights right from my window (we drove to a spot with less public lighting to see them better), and there were plenty of birds in the area. All in all, this was a lovely stay.…
