Stayed here a few times & would recommend it to anybody. There are two B&B rooms upstairs opposite each other. That's all that's upstairs so it's very nice and private, but your friends could be in the opposite room if needed. Breakfast was eaten in the kitchen cooked as you liked and very nice and welcoming. There's a little self catering cottage too.
Nós reservamos o self catering cottage, Forno Recanto, por um breve intervalo com o nosso cão e ficamos muito impressionados com a localização e o nível do estabelecimento. O chalé é aberto com um quarto separado molhado e parece ter tudo o que você precisa. Os proprietários Sandra e Patrick são muito simpáticos e todo intrusivos não. Há dois bares a uma curta distância que serve comida. A praia em Slapton Sands é um pouco trek mas também possui vários bares que oferecem refeições. (Muito bom peixe no início Bay Inn). Temos o prazer de recomendar Kiln Recanto para quem procura a cosy romper.
Stayed in one of the B&B rooms here to go to a wedding at Stokenham church. It was in a perfect location in a beautiful area. The couple who run it were really friendly and the full English breakfast was good. We ate in the kitchen with another guest and were made to feel very relaxed and welcome. It was a real pleasure to stay here. Excellent value for money.
We stayed in the self catering cottage, Kiln Nook, for a week in August (there is also a B&B next door). The whole place was perfect. Amazingly converted from what I'm sure was a double-garage, it is open plan and so quite large for what it was. Large four poster bed, sofa, dining room table, large kitchen, TV, radio - nothing was missing. Felt large and cosy at the same time. The back doors open onto a large patio area with table and chairs. This leads to a large garden overlooking Start Bay. A truly beautiful spot in the village of Stokenham, which boasts a couple of decent pubs and a great farm shop, and is within walking distance of Start Point and Torcross and driving distance of Prawle Point, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and Dartmouth. Also, the hostess Sandra is lovely. She couldn't have been friendlier than providing freshly cooked bread, and chilled champagne on arrival. If you want a nice base from which to explore the beaches and countryside of the area, you cannot go wrong with this place.…
