Wow what can I say about this place! The place is a hidden gem, and the ride to get there is going up Mount Zion, and since it's a private property I felt very safe and at peace with nature. Jamaica is such a beautiful country, and the people are so warm! It reminded me so much of the Philippines! The beauty and the balmy trees and the Jamaican breeze is something you will never forget! If you're planning to head to Jamaica, definitely check out this hotel! It didn't even feel like a hotel but more of a home! Mark was very accommodating upon check in and made sure we were okay! Angela the cook was very nice and comforting, she was very warm and polite and professional. Go book that Jamaican stay here today! Wish we could stay longer but we were actually affected by the hurricane so we had to find a place to stay and this one really caught our eye, and our heart! Thanks Jamaica! One love! Much love from the Philippines!

We had a very nice stay. Management and staff very friendly and professional. Our room and bathroom was spacious and comfortable. The view from our balcony was a million dollar view. Thanks again for making our stay very enjoyable.

We have stayed here after our flight got canceled from Jamaica Montego Bay. It’s more like an Airbnb than I’d call it a hotel. The premises maintained by a lady named Carole and couple of men. There are bedrooms with shared living space. There is no elevator and the kitchen/bar area is on 4th floor so every time it’s a great workout to go up and down the stairs. They have a nice pool. The day we stayed the host was overwhelmed by sudden rush of guests since the airport was complete shutdown due to heavy rainfall and all the flights were canceled. It looked like otherwise it is not a busy place and was hard to find despite it is not far from the airport. Taxi drivers weren’t sure where the exact place was and had us put the address in the navigation system. It was in the middle of nowhere. We ride-shared with another family whom we met at the airport and felt safe in numbers to venture out in the unknowns. We had to opt to eat the homemade food they offered to cook for dinner that night, since we arrived pass 4 pm. There were no other stores or shops or any other civilization nearby. But we had to pay “cash only” for the food even though at the beginning I was told we can pay with card but it wasn’t the reality. The portion size of the dinner was very small (4 tiny pieces of chicken with rice and shredded cabbage salad) considering we paid $18/plate of chicken dinner. The rooms were nice and the AC worked perfectly. The water pressure in the bathroom was very low and the hot water didn’t work but we didn’t mind that. The breakfast supposed to be included but we didn’t get any since we didn’t ask. But the lady from the family we shared ride with she made sure she got some bread and omelets before we left. The place definitely needs massive improvements. The surrounding view from the rooftop is beautiful with some wild horses and tropical flower trees. The price for stay per night also I’d say is overpriced for the lack of amenities.

I have been here 3 times and it only gets better. I have insomnia but somehow I fall asleep and feel quite refreshed. I love the view. Great food. Customer service gets a A+++. The rooms I'd say each have a story to tell, vibrant and comfy. I'm at peace when I'm there.

In July I booked a 1 week stay at Takuma. I was thrilled to be back. I got my suite on the third floor. It was just as adorable as when i visited last. Loved breakfast each morning. I will be back.
