Dove Cove was highly recommended. This is my new secluded getaway vacation spot in Antigua!!!
There's a pool but the beauty of it, the hotel is located 5-10 minutes walk between two (Fort James most popular on the island and Dickenson) beaches.
The staff were very pleasant, helpful and genuine. The kitchen was fully equipped (appliances, microwave, cooking and eating utensil, etc). 1st Choice Supermarket (like the US Pathmark, Winn Dixie, Publix, Kroger) is in walking distance. Perfect location for an awesome view of the sunset!!!
I absolutely, highly recommend Dove Cove Hotel!!

I found Dove Cove by accident & I will never stay anywhere else when visiting Antigua. I think its in the perfect location, about 5 mins. drive from the center of St. Johns, a hired car is a must, not only if you are staying at Dove Cove but it makes it so much easier to take in the whole island. The pool wasn't in operation when I was there either but the beach, well there are two beaches about 10 mins. walk away so a pool is not all that necessary. Milliars By The Sea is just a 5 min walk down the hill and I had the Snapper there just about every day of my stay.
The staff & Dove Cove were very nice to talk to, pleasant & very helpful & it was genuine, ppl onthe island are generally very friendly & you can tell that they really want to help, even if they are the worst ppl in the world @ giving directions.
The Room at Dove Cove was simple & clean, very clean & the kitchenette was more than adequate, I was very commfortable there and I am hoping to be back this yr.

We did not enjoy our brief (one night) stay at Dove Cove. We found out when we arrived that the pool was not in operation, which was the primary reason we booked the place. The room was older and the hotel itself is kind of remote. We prefer to be closer to the beach if there's no pool. They DID refund our money and helped us find another accomodation at the last minute so that was a nice touch. We definitely would not recommend this place unless the pool was in operation.

I Tinha o grande prazer de discoving um tesouro em antigua! O dove Cove Hotel foi perfeito para férias em família para Antigua. Como descobrimos enquanto da ilha, o resort hotéis realmente atender casais não famílias. dove Cove foi em um ótimo local (se alugar um carro) e tudo o que for necessário. Somos uma família de 5 e de 2 quarto com cozinha. Nós o supermercado shopped em jolly Porto para todas as coisas de que precisamos necessário para todas as refeições. arrumação foi maravilhoso sobre apenas quando necessário e como chegar us houver algo que possamos necessário a qualquer momento. A equipe de escritório foi muito simpática. Eles foram diversão para que o check-in com quando teve perguntas sobre onde ir e o que fazer. I Entes atento minha porta e vendo o cabras, Vacas e cavalos. I altamente recommmend este hotel!!! steve e julie m.
