The hotel is right at the lake, beautiful place actually, nice scenery. Some little shops and restaurants down the road. You maybe need one or two days at most at the lake, not much to see or do. The hotel itself is....ok. The place is a maze, likely added to multiple times over its lifetime. We were with a group, and checkin took a long time, but to be expected. The rooms are typical Chinese 3 star hotel rooms. Rooms all smell of smoke, no such thing as a nonsmoking hotel room in a Chinese Hotel, unless its a Western chain. The room was clean, AC worked, TV worked & the mattress was normally very hard. The washroom needs serious, serious renovation, while the room has obviously been renovated sometime in its life, the washroom has never been touched. Though clean, it is past well-worn and desperately needs to be redone. If you go to Nanbeihu, this place will likely do for a night or two.…
