I stay with Damien every year I come to Nias and would never go elsewhere. The losmen stays a about 200meter away from the main circle which is for me fine. you are not in the crowd. But you also walk 200m to the keyhole to get to the wave. what is also fine, cause when you finished surfing you can almost surf back to the house. Owner and his Family are very nice. Food was good and everyday Fish with plenty of other food. get 3 meals a day inkl. Water and Tea or Coffee. 40$ / night for single room, and 35$/ double room. they have 4 rooms, 2 with king size bed and 2 with 2 single bed in the room. Matraze was very good. Moskitonet is inkl. and good quality. Aircon is also in the Room with a big Fan. No Internet. but i think only one camp in Nias has Internet i heard. they organize a simcard if you didnt organized your self. Bathroom is simple. western Toilet and and shower who doesnt come much water out. Hangout place at the Terrace is a bit low. only one hangmat otherwise you hang around on plastic chairs at the table or in your room. downstairs has a Tabletennis but the living room is not a place to hang out. dark and nothing else is there exept 2 sofas..No TV.
in General, it was good. he just needs to update certain bits a bit his house.

Damien and his family are the most genuine and kindest hosts you could want on your trip to Nias. They happily guide their guests around the local sights and go out of their way to ensure everyone has the best possible time at Lagundri. Located away from the hustling kids up the point this place has the best view of the wave and quietest nights. Ideal for couples. The food is epic and plentiful and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Truly Paradise!
