Food is good and homemade. The rooms are clean, but you don’t have blankets on the bed. There’s a balcony whit a sea view and a toilet, but again, with no paper and no shower. The mother Lynda is very kind and the children are amazing!... Exception made for the father, Sikome.
He is a bit of a thief and a dishonest man, you need to be careful. He has people all over the surrounding towns who work for him to find tourists and bring them directly to his home.
As soon as we got out of the ferry, he had a guy harassing us. Wanting us to take his ride to Teluk Dalam. Even after refusing and getting into another lift, he called the driver and threatened him a lot so that he would stop half way. We were forced to change car and driver. Nobody was telling us what was going on. Our new driver brought us directly to Baluse Guest House, we had no choice. We spent two days there before leaving to Java because we felt observed and deprived of liberty.
I do not recommend this place just because of the way Sikome does business. We didn’t feel safe. And I suggest you to never go there out of season and by ferry. it's dangerous. for less travel time and for a very good price it’s better by plane.
