Kaina
jul de 2018 • A sós
A place located midst the verdant hills of Yairipok area of the state, Kaina is a major place of worship in Manipur. With a big hall in the middle and surrounded by small temples, dedicated to different deities, this place is for those who want to indulge in some moments of peace and serenity. This beautiful place is on top of a hillock, about 29 km from the heart of the city and is a sacred place for the Hindus. According to legend, this temple was constructed after Lord Govindajee appeared in the dream of the king, Bhaigyachandra. It is believed that the lord asked him to make his idol from a jackfruit tree growing at Kaina and install it at the temple. Because of this, the temple till today is revered by many Manipuri Hindus as a holy spot. The big mandap or hall in the middle of the temple complex hosts the famous Ras Leela dance occasionally.

It was a Sunday and day of full moon. It was day of special puja. we arrived at Arati time and took part in special Aarati. The temple over the main jack fruit tree is under construction. There were devotees all around and Maha Prasad was being prepared for all. We sought an invitation to partake the Maha Prasad with other devotees. We were given the status of "Atithi Devo Bhaba". The treatment we were bestowed will ever remain in our memories. We also got the chance of savoring authentic Manipuri vegetarian meal with a spread of over twenty dishes. It was served very healthy and clean.

Visit Shri Shri Govindaji Temple and Enjoy Pineapple
out de 2015 • A negócios
Kaina is a beautiful hillock exactly 29.2 kms away from the east of Imphal on Imphal-Yairipok Road; also Kaina can be reached by bus via Thoubal, as it is located in Thoubal district and situated about 921 m. above sea level.

Kaina is a holy place for the enthusiastic vaishnavites Hindus and has a temple dedicated to Shri Govindaji that is Lord Krishna.

According to fairy tale, one night, Shri Shri Govindaji appeared to his devotee Bhagyachandra Maharaja (1763-98 A.D.) of Manipur, in a dream and asked him to construct a temple enshrine with his image carved from the parts of a Jackfruit tree cut from Kaina. Later, this temple was built by the Bhagyachandra.

Beautiful Hill shrubs and charming natural surroundings give the place a calm, virtuous and earnestness. Ceremonial dance depicting the divine dream are performed as Rasa Lila at the Mandop.

Kaina therefore assumed importance as the place where the image of the lord originated and consequently it became an important religious and historical place for Hindus.

Accommodation: Kaina Tourist Home.
Reservation: Director of Tourism, Government of Manipur, Imphal 795130

Above all as suggested Don't forget to enjoy Pineapple eating and taking for your near and dear ones
