I went to the Rachael Ray Show on my birthday and we had priority tickets. We were the first ones in line (12:45 for a 2PM check in) and were not the first ones let in even though we were checked in first. Instead we have probably had about 25 people go in before us who were standing in the standby line with priority tickets as well. The color coded ticket is ridiculous as many other people have stated. You can be in the back of the line and be put in the front row. Joey the comedian guy gave out several giveaways during the commercial breaks, however he FAVORED the right side of the audience. Rachael talked to the audience a couple times throughout the show so that was fun. With all that being said, it was a fun time however I don’t think I would go again. Like other people have mentioned, time is worth more than a bottle of water and a bag of chips.

Fun time! The wait in line wasn’t bad & very organized. John the warm up comic was great. Rachael interacted with the audience. Near experience highly recommend!

It was a fun experience. In reading other reviews that said Rachel wasn’t very nice, I disagree. She seemed very nice. The thing is it’s true she doesn’t really talk to the audience between segments, but thats the job of the very funny Joey Kola.
The only thing I would say is the color coding of where you get seated is a little unfair because someone who was right in front of us in the line outside was seated a lot closer than the last row we were seated in.

I was in New York visiting a friend who had asked me if I would like to go to a taping. We stood in line for a lot longer than we had imagined and it was cold and therefore seemed even longer. The real disappointment was the host - I had seen a few of her cooking shows and enjoyed them. She did not even acknowledge her audience. We still cannot believe the way she presented herself while not on camera. I really felt sorry for her colleagues, as she acted like someone who did not want to be there and seemed in a foul mood. For heavens sake, if its too much, why continue with your show. We do not need to know that you have been up for 12 hours and did not sleep the previous night. Also, I could not fathom why she CONSTANTLY interrupts her guests. She asked them a question and then rudely answers it herself. The skin specialist got the brunt of this, and it was very embarrassing. Also, my question would be: why have guests/experts on when SHE think she knows more or at least as much as them. Why not just do it yourself. I have heard that she claims that she hates talking about herself. She talked a lot about herself and seemed quite happy to do so. Other members of the audience that we got chatting to said she does this all the time and repeats the same stories ad nauseum. Also, the other thing that made me want to laugh was that we are coached to clap, cheer, ooh and aah over the most stupid mundane things i.e. her putting lots of cheese into a pan!!!!!
Theres 5 hours of my life I will never get back.

I attended the Rachel Ray Show on January 23rd. Prior to going I read the entire page of instructions on the Rachel Ray Show website and I followed them exactly except the time to show up at the studio. I was there for the 11 am taping and I was standing in line at 8:30 am. I am glad I did not show up at the 10am time recommended on the website.

I stood in line until 10 am when they opened the studio doors. On the website they recommend wearing jewel tones which I did. I signed the waver and presented my ID as instructed. I did notice that I was looked at - carefully it seemed. I also noticed the woman put down one highlighter ( blue?) and highlighted my name in yellow. I was told to go to the waiting room after going through a metal detector.

We waited there and were given chips, water, access to bathrooms. We were there at least 30 minutes when we were called by color of the highlighter our name was coded in. Yellow was asked to come first. It turned out we were in the first row.

The studio is COLD so I was very happy I dressed warm. Joey, the warm up act is absolutely hilarious and worth the trip. He had everyone laughing and having fun. There is no coat check but a basket below your chair plenty big for your purse and coat.

Rachel came out and said hello to us. This is clearly show business and she rightly had to make sure the ingredients were where she wanted them and other details were right so she only said a brief hello to us.

It is clear that she has a lot to remember and keep track of because there are many segments to the show and details that relate to her guests, what they are working on and so forth.

The show taped for about an hour. Immediately after taping it she took a picture with the audience ( I’m not sure what happens to that picture) and we get our coats and leave with a magazine and a gift from one of the guests on the show. We were lucky that we received a hand out as I know not all shows get one.

It was a fun experience and I am glad I did it. It is show business and the show is her focus- not the audience. Joey thanked us over and over for coming and I took his gratitude as gratitude from the whole staff- Rachel included.

I wanted to do something special for my wife’s bday. Sandra loves to watch the Rachel Ray show so I got us some tickets. She was so excited to go she told all her friends. Well we got there at 1:30pm and got in line outside. We waited outside in line for an hour and fifteen minutes. Then they took us into a waiting room for 30 minutes where they had chips & bottle water. Finally they take us inside & seat us in the front row which was great. Then Joey comes out (he’s the guy that’s supposed to pump up the audience). So he announces to everyone that the show is canceled for our time slot and we all have to leave. They gave us tickets to come back. There’s no chance we’re going back. Come on it was my wife’s birthday and we waisted half the day waiting to see Rachel. I am very disappointed at how they handled this Cancelation. Peoples time is worth more than a bottle of water & a bag of Doritos.

We woke up at 5 am to travel to nyc to see this show to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday. We were upgraded from GA to priority seating. We got there early. Guess what? They were at full capacity and we were not able to see the show. What?! Just read all the other reviews on here. This is NOT uncommon. They give out way too many tickets to ensure a full audience thus ensuring that many people with tickets will be turned away. I understand that they need a full audience and it’s first come, first serve. But this happens. All. The. Time. They need to figure out a better system. I’ve seen many other tapings in NYC and this have never happened at any other studio. You get a ticket online. You show up when they say to and you get to see the show. Come on, Rachel, it’s not rocket science. Other studios have figured it out. You can too.

I went with a friend to see a taping of the show today. They ask you to be there really early and you end up waiting in line for well over an hour. The warm up guy was very funny and engaging, and he seemed to appreciate the audience's role in the production. The host, Rachael Ray, was a different story. She came out only for the taping and didn't even acknowledge the audience. When the show was over, she ran to the audience stairs for a quick photo and then ran off, waving goodbye. There was no thank you to the audience, no engaging with us. I have been to many talk show tapings and the host is always very grateful that the audience is there and spends time taking questions and talking with the audience (either before or after the show). It was a bit shocking that Rachael did not engage at all. Also, the whole show was food-related (Superbowl food preparation) and surprisingly, there was none to share with the audience. It was a bit odd. Overall, we had a fun time but wow - Rachael should show some appreciation. At least say hello to her audience! Rachael should go to a Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, or Seth Meyers taping to see what a gracious host is like.

Our checkin time was 11:30 AM, we arrived a bit before 11 and the line was very long, but by 11:30 it was twice as long. We did get in, but the group just behind us was told they would have to wait another 2.5 hours to get in for the next show. Inside expect an hour of standing around, being herded like cattle from area to area. You finally get seated and get coached on when to cheer, clap and make sound effects (no, those studio audiences don't just clap and cheer without coaxing). Rachel was fine, she did talk to the audience for a minute but it was pretty much just work, get through the segments and send us on our way. Harry Connick Jr. was MUCH more engaged with his audience and personable, Rachel was fine, but just not overly engaged or exceptionally friendly.

Rachael Ray talks over her guests so bad. Today the skin specialist had to try her best to ignore Rachael Ray's Babel so she could provide the information she was there to present. Is Rachael Ray on drugs or something? Please find a new cook with some social skills
