My husband and I made a last minute plan to go canoeing during our stay in the North Woods for vacation. Dwayne was able to make a reservation for us without a problem and rented us a canoe and shuttled us to our desired put in spot on the Border Brule River. He is a native to the area and gave us a local history and brief tour of the Nicolet National Forest. He also gave us a lot of information on other activities to do in the area. Really a great guy. He rented us a 14' canoe with paddles and life vests. He had us drop our vehicle off where we would be taking out so we could just drive out when we were done. We left the canoe on the landing and took our gear back to him. He is such a professional and easy to talk to person. I will recommend his business to everyone headed up north, and we will be using his services again. Might even rent a cabin from him. :)

My family and have a home in the UP (Upper Peninsula, Michigan) and I'm so glad I called Dwayne (the owner of Wild Rivers Adventure Company) this past weekend. He set us up with an awesome day of tubing down the Pine River outside of Florence, WI. There are several great things about his business. 1) He runs it out of a Subway shop. What could be better than bring a cooler full of sandwiches that are made for you? (Plus I think he gave us a 10% discount on the subs.) 2) the rental is cheap--$8/tube. 3) It's easy peasy to do the tubing--it's a 3 mile course that zigzags like a horseshoe and you end up only a 1/4 mile away from your car. 4) Dwayne was extremely helpful in every way--a great guy who knows how to run a business. I just met him this past weekend and I would highly recommend his business to everyone. and the river was very clean, beautiful scenery, and it took about 3 hrs to tube it. The place to get out is well marked and easy to maneuver. I would recommend water shoes (rocky), sunscreen, and life vests for younger children.
