We stumbled upon the fact that Charleston has a local pro soccer team and stadium where they play. We were looking for a pub to watch soccer and have some lunch and ended up finding that and a game to watch too.
The stadium is small and every seat is a good seat! The fans are fun and friendly. There were several food trucks, beer truck, and even a Scotch truck at the game. It is very family friendly and a lot of fun.
The tickets are affordable and offers a fun activity to go enjoy.

My sons a soccer fan and wanted to go while in town. Nice stadium, some seats in center in both sides have a back. Most others are bleacher seats with back. Not great but ok. Sit on press box side if you can to avoid sun.

My family and I (5 adults) attended a regular season Charleston Battery match in April 2017. This was not our first visit to the stadium, but we hadn't been back since it was renamed from Blackbaud stadium.

We really enjoyed the experience. The Battery host a preseason tournament (as previous reviews have noted) that draws a larger crowd due to the participation of MLS teams, but the regular season match had a decent following as well.

The jumbotron is very impressive and huge relative to the stadium capacity.

As far as seating, I recommend the west stands for any evening game. The sun can be pretty brutal and shines directly at the easy stands for the better part of the first half before it sets sufficiently. The middle sections of both stands (West 3-8 and East 4-7) have relatively comfortable plastic seating with backs and arm rests. The outer, less expensive sections are standard bleachers. We opted to pay a bit extra to sit in the central premium section on the west side (W 5-6) and had a great view of the action.

The stadium offers a decent spread of concessions. The Three Lions Club is an English pub located behind the west stands, and beer is also served at smaller vendors around the stadium. Chick-fil-A is served at the main concession stands as well as other stadium fare.

The main team shop is on the southwest end of the stadium, and there is a smaller stand selling team shirts, etc. On the southeast end.

All in all, I highly recommend checking out the stadium for a great local soccer experience.

First time visit to see the Charleston Battery, and it was well worth it. This stadium has awesome views from all seating areas. The concessions are adequate, and small lines everywhere. Thrilled to be surprised by a firework show after the game on July 2nd. Would love to return.

Actually a pretty good place for a concert. Had 2 stages, one on the end of the field and the other on the far end of the parking lot. Acoustics weren't terrible and you couldn't hear the other stage when you were at one and vice versa, although there was minimal overlap. Good bathroom facilities. Concessions expensive, but expected at a concert.

We attended a pre-season tournament at MUSC Health Stadium, formerly known as Blackbaud stadium and had a great time. They brought in extra food vendors, have two nice souvenir stores, one on each side of the stadium, and lots of parking for tailgating.

My wife and I attended the Carolina Challenge Cup at what was then called Blackbaud Stadium (it was renamed in July 2015). This is a soccer stadium, built in 1999, and this stadium is a place well-suited for the Charleston Battery to host its opponents. There is a press box, as well as concessions and a store on both sides of the field. SInce this was a big event, there were extra vendors such as Chick Fil A set up to sell additional food. It was February, so it was very cold, but we enjoyed two great soccer matches, and we would recommend a visit to MUSC Health Stadium for a match any time it was a bit warmer.
