Our family attended and did the rainforest loop, the staff at the centre are not helpful so had to guess where we were going. We had a good time.

A visit back in time
abr de 2021
I had not visited Minnamurra rainforest / falls for over 40 years, so now armed with my grand kids I decided it was time for them to experience the area. The walks, both loop and to the top falls have changed radically. In my time it was a bit of a goat track, now it is totally paved and very easy to use. The kids loved the bridges over the river. The only criticism I have is that the last section to the top falls and viewing platform is extremely steep and in my view dangerous. These 2 small sections need to either have their gradient lowered or steps installed. It will only be a matter of time before some one slips or loses control of a wheelchair.
There no longer is access to the lower falls following an earthquake in the 1970's? which dislodged a massive boulder into the chasm. However you can still get a sight of it from above via the above mentioned dodgy steep viewing platform.
Overall we had a great day, the kids made it to the top with minimal winging and it was good to visit a place that I had not seen for a long time.

NATURE MAGNIFICENT
abr de 2021
The forest is magnificent and well maintained.
The toilets are smelling disgusting, like a farm barn full of animals.
The new visitors centre nothing to what it was before, uninviting.
No catering except for a drink dispenser with junk.

Well worth the trek

A bit of a climb we are 60 and 65 year olds reasonably fit but so well worth it. The falls are amazing especially after a bit of rain..

Gorgeous.

Absolutely beautiful, worth the walk. There is plenty to see in this area besides the falls. The drive there is easy.

Black Prince Cicadas EVERYWHERE and so NOISY!!

Loved the 2 bush walks - both completed with 2 adults and 3 children (aged 4 to 9 years of age).

The 2nd walk, which is started part way through the first loop track, is steep ... worth it at the end to see some amazing waterfalls, over 2 viewing platforms. Would be sensational after some decent rain. It is a tough walk, which my 7 year old struggled the most on, however, there are regular seats to stop along the way.

A very cheap morning out - National Parks charges parking and that is all you NEED to spend. You can bring a picnic, if you'd like too.

Great clean / modern toilet facilities.

Get there early to secure a good parking spot, as well as start the walk before the crowds. We arrived at 9am and the car park was more than half full. By the time we were leaving, there was a long line of cars waiting to get into the NP.

Loved it!

Beautiful short walk. This is suitable for all ages, and although steep in certain parts, the walk is pretty easy. Would recommend walking to the top of the falls. The view of the falls and over the mountains is stunning. 🌊🌱🪴

Save for wet weather!
nov de 2020
While the falls are likely there all the time, after rain, they are quite spectacular. Starting on the Rainforest loop walk from the Minnamurra Rainforest Centre, about halfway, 20 minutes, is a clearly marked trail on your left. Sign says from that point 1.3km each way to falls. Over half of that is steep up hill, but there are plenty of seats to rest at, the path is paved the entire length, and the views of upper and lower falls are worth the effort. Moderate or better fitness will be an advantage. Along the way are wonderful valley and rainforest canopy views, ferns and streams. Well worth it.

Nice but very had work
out de 2020
The walk to the falls is arduous. It is described as moderate. I am quite fit and I struggled. I would be afraid to try a walk they rated hard. The track is either concrete or steel. It is impossible to get lost. There are two ways to walk to the falls but the left hand choice is better as it is initially, not so steep. The falls path branches off the loop. Here it becomes very steep. It is so steep that the return trip is just as hard as the climb up.

The falls themselves are nice but not spectacular. There is a second platform which provides a glimpse of the lower falls. I visited them 60 years ago and the walk was easy. For some reason they are no longer accessible.

This place is wantonly after your money. Parking is paid and the minimum fee is $12. There are also fines for a range of behaviors such as leaving the track.

On my return I was greeted by a sign suggesting I go to the café. To my disappointment, it was closed.

Open, accessible and a wonderful easy walk.

Don't be put off by the older reviews - Minnamurra Falls is open, easy to see, and still one of the absolute gems of the NSW South Coast.
It's a beautiful drive here, and the new Visitor Centre is still under construction, but the walk is open, and now easier than ever. So easy in fact a large part of it is now open to wheelchairs, and with a bit of effort, a wheelchair could possibly do this whole loop.
And the walk is lot shorter than the signs suggest. We did the loop, and the diversion to the falls in well under 2 hours, and passed plenty of young families, many with strollers.
The walk to the first swing bridge is flat, and easy for wheelchairs and strollers, after that it is quite steep in parts, but is mostly long ramps with few stairs.
The loop itself is the best part of the walk, with swing bridges over the river, and beautiful tall trees and rainforest ferns closing in around you.
The walk to the top of the falls is a much harder slog (and narrow in parts so leave strollers behind at the turn off) and the views at the top are good, if not spectacular, now that access to the base of the falls has been permanently halted by a landslip.
A great day out, a lovely picnic area and with good toilets at the visitor centre.
The only red flag is parking - this is now so popular on weekend the car parks can fill up by 11 am, and they block the road until spaces are freed up.
Also, check weather forecasts, as the falls and the road to them are also closed on very wet days.
The parking fee is a flat $12, but there's no other fee for the walk, and you can bring your own food and drink.
A must if you're visiting anywhere in the Kiama to Nowra region.
