This was one of my favorite parts of our Ohio trip. The tour starts with a short film, then a guide takes you upstairs to review historic items, then another guide tours you through the actual house. We learned a lot about both John and Annie. We loved it. I also recommend Scott's Diner down the road where we had a very breakfast!

This was John Glenn's boyhood home. John and Annie Glenn did not live here, although the museum has a nice tribute to Annie Glenn. This home is run by some very energetic and enthusiastic docents. The original part of the home has been renovated and furnished as it was when John Glenn lived here; the newer portion housed the gift shop and museum rooms. there are a lot of photographs of the Glenn family. This was a very enjoyable tour. Parking is in the back and there are restrooms and a short film before the tour.

Great guides gave us marvelous information while taking us around John Glenn’s boyhood home. One was in character as his mother and knew him like a mother. Many original articles still in place. Very good tour.

Found in the small college town of New Concord, this site is a must for space enthusiasts, history lovers, and everything in between! It's a must go to if you're ever in the area and even worth a day trip if you're not.

New Concord is between Zanesville and Cambridge. This is the house John Glenn grew up in and it is restored to 1962 decor. There is a room with memorabilia and a film about John Glenn and his beginnings. After seeing that, the top two floors are furnished as they would have been in 1962. There is a local college student portraying son David in 1962 taking you through the home. Kind of like visiting your grandmother's house. "David" does not break character for any reason and you are totally immersed in that era. On the top level are bedrooms and items from the Glenns' life. It is completely and totally fascinating. John and Annie Glenn were wonderful people and good examples of lives well lived.

The actualy layout of the John Glenn House reminded me of growing up in the fifties, seeing the African Violets brought back so many memories of my Mom, they were her favorire flower, I remember us having the same corning wear growing up has I saw in the kitchen at John Glenns House, the Toni Home Permanent, also brought back memories. However the lady that greeted you and played the video when you entered the House was very rude, condecending, and accursed myself and other guest of having unauthorized Credit/Debit Cards, because she was too incompetand to operate the credit card machine. I was willing to purchase several items to support the Museumn, but this woman was not able to oblige, so no money was spent.

Inspired by Lindbergh and WWII Wingman with Ted Williams, Annie’s lifelong love truly lived a life of aspiration and inspiration. This was the final leg of my astronaut trifecta trip which also included visits to the homes of Gus Grissom and Neil Armstrong.

Here in New Concord, you’ll find the seeds of John Glenn’s aspiration and inspiration in his unassuming Sears catalogue boyhood home (though it’s in a different location), now a living museum staffed by knowledgeable and dedicated volunteers. If you lived during any of the pre-space shuttle era of his life, expect to experience stabs of nostalgia in every room, including the bathroom where you’ll find a Toni perm.

Sen. Glenn’s many public accomplishments are showcased here, but what you will really come away with is a gratifying sense of his always present humility, and his love of family, community, and country.

We just sort of stumbled on this and so glad we did. This was a first person living tour and was lead by John Glenn's son David as he was in 1962. The house is furnished to that period. Learned a lot about the time period as well as the Glenn family. Good exhibits. We would visit again

This is a really nice spot to visit. You get a quick movie about the Glenn’s lives, and then you visit the home itself. It’s a wonderful time capsule filled with items from way back when. Worth the time to see. Took about an hour in total.

Started with the video that explained him & his wife's background. Learned a few things that I did not know. Then a tour guide, Rudy, took me through the house. Since he had been friends with them he was very knowledgeable about John & Annie & the area because Rudy was from the area. There is a fee to get in & plan on at least 1 hr. Parking is easy there. I enjoyed it! Also, there is a special ticket you can purchase that includes not only the admission price here, but also to the National Road & Zane Grey Museum which is very worth while too!
