Today, we enjoyed a gardening seminar at the Center. Even though the seminar was 1.5 hours long, there were plenty of chairs, and the rest rooms were clean. After the seminar, we opted to take a stroll of the marsh trails, and perhaps one day we will visit the Abbott House which is located on the grounds of the Center. This area is steeped in history.

Great place to explore to learn a little about the rich lenape history of the area. Also had a few resident native snakes and turtles for people to see. Area for kids to explore books, and art activities relating to all of it. There is a sitting area for adults to read or relax too. Center is right up the hill from the Spring Lake trail for the Abbot Marshlands. Very neat place, and worth a visit.

Located between US 206 and the Delaware River, the Center (picture) is best visited on weekends. A nice walk in an otherwise urban environment.

We attended the nature center and went with them on multiple narrated nature walks. Excellent , knowledgeable staff and they were able to provide history on the area and name the foliage.

I can see the Tulpehaking Nature Center from my front door and I love having them as my neighbor. They have many informative programs for all ages along with walking tours of the marsh. This is a wonderful place to visit.

Hats off to Hamilton and Mercer County, NJ and the numerous people who have restored this secluded gem! Great flatland trail system (walking only) through a special ecosystem home to beavers, foxes, turtles, snakes, and an amazing range of birds. A very special place during the annual migration. The Audubon group had a walk this morning and we saw 33 species of birds! Even saw 6 blue heron nests. Keep walking and you'll see a number of white swans and lots of beaver dams. Keep your eyes open for a Kite and even the Bordentown Eagles. Great for families. Urge everyone to take out what you bring in so everyone can enjoy the pristine beauty of this favorite place of yesteryear and today. Would encourage you to visit Tom Glover's blogspot with photographs from the early 1900's and throughout the years. The facilitators and rangers are top rate. Check out the Abbott Marshlands site for kayaking, nature programs, and much more. At the end of Sewell Avenue, turn left, proceed down the dirt road and hill where there will be a gravel parking lot at the bottom. No bathrooms.
