Based on the information, this is a living museum of the Yoder family who immigrated from Switzerland to the United State in the 1700s and the house (museum) was built to replica the house built by the Yoder immigrants. During my visit, this placed was closed because of COVID-19 pandemic. It is located in the Spruce Forest Artisan Village in Grantsville, Maryland right next to the Casselman River Bridge State Park. Looking forward to see inside if in the area next time.

Located in Spruce Village on National Pike in Grantsville MD. A 'new' building representing an 'old' Scandinavian style home. 2 floors plus an attic. Many wall markers tell the history plus many home objects of the period. Walk in fireplace in the center.

This was a delightful 4 level house to visit with self guided tour maps and information , plus very helpful volunteer on sight. The historical and visual props were informative and you are taken back into time. The venue was clean. There are a few rustic steps to climb up and down.

Very interesting and informative. Sadly access to basement and first floor not possible, although staff very resourceful in ensuring you have lots to keep you busy when rest of group go off to explore other areas.

Really enjoyed it.

This is a well-done reproduction of a historic Amish/Mennonite home. There are signs throughout that explain various rooms, areas, and items of interest in the home.

If you are anywhere near here this is worth stopping for. The house is a replica of the Yoder family house--built in the 1700's. It is an amazing structure and was constructed from materials donated or salvaged from old structures, e.g., the main support beam on the 1st floor is hand cut and runs the length of the house. There are period pieces throughout the house and the volunteers working there are friendly and knowledgeable. This was my 2nd visit and I am still awed by the craftsmanship. Well worth a visit.

If you like a little bit of history mixed in with your family fun, you have to stop here. This is a replica of the Yoder family house for hundreds of years ago. If you are lucky, like we were, you will have a real Yoder family member give you a tour. They have period pieces throughout the house. I was in awe of the workmanship and craftsmanship. Worth a visit.
