This little gallery is a must stop along Rt 12 in Beverly Shores, IN. Caryn Brown, curator, has wonderful exhibits all through the summer months, and there is also a small gift shop with unusual items created by local artists.

Known as the Broadway South Shore Line Station, this building was built in approximately 1929 and was a stop for the South Shore electric train line. After the station closed, it remained vacant and unused until the Beverly Shores Women's Club was able to have it placed on the National Register of Historic Places on July 19, 1989. Though it would be a few years before enough money was raised to renovate the building, ultimately they did raise the money and complete the project. This station is the only one of nine similar stations left standing. Once the funding was finally secured in 1997, renovations began and nearly two years later, the Beverly Shores Museum and Art Gallery opened in July 1998. Now the museum has exhibits of local and regional artists and artisans. The exhibits include sculptures to paintings and mixed media to glass work. Though they certainly will accept donations, the admission to the museum is free.

A Charming little Community next to Lake Michigan Dunes and woodlands that set the stage for the Historical Train Depot that houses a well curated Gallery with shows thru out the year. Along side is a sort but informative history display of the area and a small gift shop. Worthy of a stop, open Friday thru Sunday

The Depot Art Gallery is an absolute gem inside what many people think is the Beverly Shores Railroad Station. A very small section on the south side of the building IS a train station but the north side is the most wonderful gallery with thoughtfully curated exhibits worth going out of your way to see, including absolutely gorgeous slab and handblown glass works, sculptures, paintings and photography. Openings are joyful wine and cheese affair, often in conjunction with other galleries in the area. WELL worth your time! Open May through October ~ come and bring your friends

There have been some amazing artists, sculptures, painters, architects even priests that have exhibited their photos, paintings, drawings and history here....and of course...it used to be the train station for the 'little train that can' the South Shore....there are artists invitational events...a store inhouse to buy artwork and a chance to meet neighbors, friends and artists ....very inspiring....maybe you should join up ~!

This historic pink stucco building is known as the Depot (the South Shore train station is located here). This building was designed in 1929 and it was turned into museum, art gallery and gift shop in 1998. They display here a broad spectrum of art (from painting to jewelry) but it is only open from May 1 till the end of October (each year).
