Great spot for our picnic lunch
out de 2019
We stopped to have a picnic lunch on our way up to St Augustine and this was a perfect location. The picnic tables were clean and overlooked the beach and ocean. There are restrooms and its dog friendly.

Something to Do For Everyone & For All Ages
jan de 2019 • Casais
This is our to-go-to-place when it's cool or windy out - or just on a nice sunny day. We start from the parking lot at Ocean Shore Blvd., and near the rest rooms, take the path past the dog park and go as far as far as we like. Usually we'll stop and sit to watch the tennis players or the kids at the playground - or even watch the big dogs separated from the small dogs romp around. They even have their own water fountains! Here, you can play shuffleboard (with your own equipment, tennis, basketball, hike, or walk across the street from the main entrance on Ocean Shore Blvd. to the beach and sit and admire the clean sand and ocean waves. Or, go for a longer walk and you'll come out at the other side of the park at John Anderson Drive where there's a fishing dock overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. It's a great place to fish or just watch the many passing kayaks, yachts, motor boats and more - like maybe an alligator or manatee swimming by. There's lots more to do here and well wortj spening several hours.Don't forget your camera - the sunsets are gorgeous acrtoss the Waterway. Bring snacks or lunch/dinner - there are many picnic tables both at the entrance & near the tennis courts.Dogs are allowed leashed.

Nice location
dez de 2018 • Casais
We came here and were expecting somewhere to have a long walk with our boys (dogs). It was actually a dog park, which was a nice surprise. Very clean and quite spacious. We came on a Saturday and there were quite a bit of ppl. They have a small dogs separated by a walking path and large dogs on the other side.

Behind the dog park are some basketball courts. I thought this was pretty awesome considering I always see little kids running around in the dog park with a high possibility of stepping or slipping on poop.

Very nice park. Across the street is the beach, but you can't take dogs. 😪

Our Go To
jul de 2018
My husband and I have been coming to this location to access the beach every summer. There is a shower to rinse off, decent restrooms and a lifeguard. This beach area rarely has more than a dozen people on it and we typically go on Friday or the weekend. Only drawback is you have to cross A1A but drivers are very conscientious and stop for you and allow you to cross.

Nice Roadside park
jul de 2018 • Família
We only used the picnic area. This park is right along side A1A. The picnic areas are covered. There are restrooms close by. You can park here and go to to the beach. You have to cross A1A to access the beach.

This is my favorite beach park.
jul de 2018
here is always parking and stairs to the beach. It has its own cross walk There are bathrooms and a shower for feet and body. I live in Ormond Beach and this is my approach. It is never crowded. I have been going for four years to this park. There is a lifeguard tower right there..

Great park for dogs or to access ocean
jan de 2018 • Família
The dog run areas are large. There are separate small and large dog spaces. Great access point to ocean and clean restrooms. We took our boston terriers there 5-6 times during our 10 day stay in Ormond Beach and loved this park for its safety, cleanliness, and location.

Still love bicentennial Park.
jan de 2018 • A sós
I love the dog parks here, only wish the small dog park was 0-40 lbs and the big dogs were actually BIG gods 40lbs+. Putting a 150 pound dog with a 25 pound dog is asking for trouble. One hip check or a running big dog could hurt the little thing.. Split it up better.
Notices have been sent around that Bicentennial park has had some car breakins and valuables stolen. So keep your vaulables (EVERYTHING) out of site and lock your car. Vandals broke windows to enter the parked cars, so locking ian't an assurance of safety. I've never had an issue IN the parks with any questionable behavior but I'm always prepared. Bicentennial has a beutiful playground for kids, tennis courts open to publin, wallyball, handball, dog park, and woods trails that take you to the river and a fishing pier which is GORGEOUS at sunset! (you can get directly to the pier from driving on John Anderson Dr.) And the opposite direction, Bicentennial park has rest rooms, picnic tables and access to the ocean. Beautiful place. KEEP IT CLEAN AND SAFE PEOPLE! Pick up after yourself and report anything suspicious to Volusia county sheriff.

Dog Park Warning
dez de 2017 • Casais
We are in town for vacation and saw mixed reviews for the dog park at Bicentennial Park. Knowing that there had been aggressive dogs in the past, we made sure to keep an eye out for trouble.

When we arrived, a group of dogs surrounded our dog and initially everything appeared normal.

Our dog starting running around the park as she usually does in big open areas, but every time she stopped, the dogs surrounded her and were getting more aggressive each time. Things started going downhill pretty quickly.

The other owners did nothing to call their animals away from a building situation, so we called our dog and started walking back to the gate to leave. As she was running, another dog cut her off and bit her in the hip. No damage was done.

Another dog then tried to hump her at the gate. I had to physically remove it from my dog and from the area just so we could get the gate open. We were there for less than 5 minutes.

During all of this, the other owners were near a park bench talking and did nothing to defray the situation.

We gave the park a shot, but it didn't work for us. It might work for you. My biggest issue was the lack of oversight from the other owners.
