One very short loop trail through the park. Enjoyed the quietness walking through the scrub and trees. Another short walk to the lake where there is a small, sandy beach.
A good park if you want to lay out a blanket and have a picnic.

It's a nice park. Make sure you bring water as it quite hot and no water fountain. The kids had fun running around and throwing pinecones. There's a nice view of the lake from the shore.

This park is situated along Lake June-in-Winter but there is very limited access or views of it. The is one pit toilet and a few picnic tables. There is a few miles of walking trails one loop trail and one thru the center of the park which is like walking on the beach, very sandy. The highlight is an eagle's nest with eagles and babies about a mile down the trial which is marked. Wear bug spray and be aware there is little shade and no water available.

Florida's landscape and wildlife diversity is on full display at this lakeside scrub land park. We enjoyed the beautiful lake view but, would encourage everyone to apply insect repellent before venturing close to the water. There are a few open and covered picnic tables, an outhouse and a 1/2 mile hiking trail, otherwise amenities are limited. As weekend explorers, living on the west coast of Florida, we also enjoyed driving our detailed map plotted circular route through central Florida's vast forests, swamps, savannas, grazing fields, farmland, and orchards.

The park is 845 acres, lots of wading birds and birds in general, small animals, squirrels. You can fish, canoe, kayak, otherwise lite on amenities. They have hiking trails and a bathroom.

We use the picnic pavilions for lunch and to do some plein air painting. The trails are nice for walking but beware the local wildlife.

We wanted to either bike or walk through this park. We followed the signs to Daffodil Road and drove back and forth without ever finding a parking lot. We knew we were along the park by the fence and having looked on Google Maps. We then parked along one of the dirt roads and took our bike for a ride on the roads without ever finding a way "into" the actual park. The area is nice, but not worth going out of the way to visit.

This small state park is well worth a visit to learn about the unique flora and fauna of central Florida.

There is a small walking trail and a few picnic tables.

and worth it, as this is natural Florida without the tourist trappings. Be still, and listen...be sure to take sunscreen, plenty of water, and don't worry about the composting toilets: that's what folks used when they came to Florida in the 1700s. Still work fine. Mid Summer will be...hot. Fall and Winter into early Spring the most comfortable. Enjoy!
