Rainy day fun
jun de 2021
Perfect rainy day stop. Lots of private collection plane models, photos and collections of articles. Fun flight simulator was a hit with my teen. They have a couple of planes and engines to check out. 1 hour. No entrance fee, just a donation to keep museum going. Ed, the volunteer, was informative and enthusiastic about aviation history. Located in a hanger at the airport. We watched some planes land and take off

We enjoy seeing small museums with interesting docents. Ed was knowledgeable and very attentive. The disp!ays were nice. Don't go expecting a huge museum. Enjoy

Worth a Stop

They have a unique collection of aviation memorabilia and a few small aircraft. Ed was the volunteer on duty for our visit and his enthusiasm was contagious. The museum is free (donations appreciated).

Great Little Museum

Stopped by on our way home from Key West. Small but nice with a really friendly staff. Nice guides tour and no charge entry. Will stop again next time we are here.

Stopped by on Rainy Day
fev de 2020
Great little air museum located right on the airport. Admission is free but you can donate on the way out. Wonderful volunteers more than happy to show up around and answer our questions. A few planes inside and outside and you can see it all in about one hour. Great place to visit on a poor weather day.

Small but packed with information
fev de 2020
I am an aviation fan so I found it very interesting. If you are not an aviation buff this will may seem small and insignificant. My view is they have done a lot with a little. There are four planes on display and each is interesting and has a story. There are also two engines, a Pratt and Whitney Radial internal combustion engine of WW2 vintage and GE jet engine used on the F-100, 707 and others. A museum volunteer gives every visitor or small group a personal tour explaining the exhibits and answering questions.

Air Buffs and the kids enjoyed
fev de 2020
Friendly volunteers gave us a free tour of the museum. We saw other families with their children. The kids got to get in a small plane and sit in the pilots seat. Another circa ww2 plane is there to get in. A replica of The Red Barrons plane is there. There are a lot of pictures from the air of the Keys area which is interesting. A plane was taking off while we were there so the children got to see that up close. Though not huge we enjoyed our visit and were happy to leave a donation to help out.

“Average” at Best
jan de 2020 • Casais
Not much to write home about. I guess it does have “Free” going for it? We walked in. An older gentleman did not acknowledge us. We looked around and left within 20 minutes. We had seen the Bush Plane Museum in Sault St Marie, Canada..which was fabulous! Guess just expected too much. A little friendliness and explanations would’ve been helpful too. One wonders why folks volunteer? They could just as easily sit at home.

Great Landing!
jul de 2019
Quant little place with veteren flyers willing to tell storys and talk all day about their passion (I could tell that all their take-offs had equalled their landings!). Some very interesting displays, models and artifacts.
