The boat trip takes you around the waters edge, you can see the rocks and the birds, and you get a commentary on board telling you about the history, in all its a relaxing time out, to just sit and enjoy everything,

My brother was visiting from Dubai and this trip seemed like a good way to spend the afternoon and we were not disappointed. I would recommend this trip to anyone.
On arrival at the boat we were offered a glass of prosecco or tea/coffee and we all sat at the front of the boat for the start of the journey.
We were lucky enough to be the only three people on the boat and the weather was good. The Captain spent a lot of time with us pointing out the various building etc, along the river and was very knowledgeable. My brother spent a lot of time talking to the driver of the boat, swapping information and talking about boating in general.
You could sit at the front or back of the boat, which was uncovered, so nice on a sunny afternoon or in the covered section in the middle of the boat where our food was served.
The afternoon tea was served on china and the food was lovely. Special attention had been given to the vegetarian selection and the cakes were fantastic.
We had an absolutely fantastic afternoon and I would definitely do this trip again.

By chance I happened upon an article about the Constance. I booked for my daughters birthday and had many questions which were always answered promptly and courteously. The boat is fantastic, small but equipped. We got a great lunch and wonderful information from the two crew members, Dave and Sophie. The kids were even able to drive the boat. We would never have seen this part of Cornwall otherwise, it was quiet calm and devoid of any tourist frenzy. The river was beautiful with much history. The entire team is fantastic in every way. We loved the trip and highly recommend!

The rain cleared, the sun came out as we boarded the Helford ferry to take us out to 'Constance' moored in the Helford Passage. A beautifully restored steam launch now powered by battery. Charming is the word I would use for the whole evenings experience. We had booked for the evening dinner package to celebrate my partners birthday and were so lucky to have Constance to the four of us, normally holding 10 guests, being just us four it was even more magical. So, silently motoring up the estuary past Frenchmans creek, Port Navas, up to Scott's Quay and Polwetheral creek. The Captain pointing out local points of interest, wildlife and curiosities and JB topping up our glasses and looking after our every need. Food is served either in the charming cabin or on the fore or aft deck.
We fully recommend taking advantage of one of their trips. Wear sensible shoes, one for safety and two to protect the vessel and take warm clothing.
So thank you all at Gweek Boatyard for a memorable evening, from Steve the ferryman collecting us at The Ferryboat Inn and the crew on board.

We had the best time going out on Constance to watch the Falmouth Classics, great hosting, great cakes, great time. I highly recommend!

We had a wonderful trip on Constance. She is a unique and beautiful boat. Being electric makes her even more unique and environmentally friendly. The crew were superb and we had such fun including our son, 12.

Had a fabulous time watching the Falmouth Classic boats racing in the bay . The crew looked after us wonderfully. We were served delicious cake and tea . They had lots of blankets to keep us warm incase it got a little chilly on board . The skipper and crew had a brilliant sense of humour and were the perfect hosts . I would definitely recommend you take a trip on Constance.

From first step aboard the crew were very obliging both with information about other boats around us. The electric propulsion was so quiet made chatting heard. We were served delicious cake and bubbly but tea also ready available. Would suit a very romantic mini cruise.

From the moment we stepped onboard 'Constance' we were looked after by a great Skipper and Crew and nothing was to much bother.
The silent electric motor means you can really enjoy the surroundings. A very special way to see the Helford River. Food and drink were 1st class.
Won't be our last trip onboard!
