My wife and I went and golfed on this course. The pictures didn't do it justice. The fairways were burnt and hard as a rock. The tee blocks had very little grass, the greens faired no better. We paid $32 American and we overpaid. I spoke with rv owner and he stated that he purchased it 3 years ago and the workers weren't maintaining the course at all. I would never go back

We've stayed in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and more. Yuma and Cocopah Golf and RV Resort has the biggest lots and most side room of any private resort. Yes we needed multiple sewer lines (no biggy) and the water here is very hard and salty(?).
The surrounding produce(!) fields are amazing and make great neighbors.
The Colorado River is great.
There are many clubs and volunteer groups and activities that make the park super.
AND the dog park is a hoot. Friendly, therapeutic and large.
But... This park is NOT stuffy or uppity... It's also not "5 star" or trendy. Please look elsewhere for pampering.

Extenuating circumstances caused us to not make it to the resort. Our trip plan unfortunately had to change. There is a 0 (zero) refund policy. So they will now probably double dip on my canceled site. They offered to let me reuse my reservation for next year when I have no plans to be passing through the area. I'd be happy to have covered their credit card cost to cancel the reservation. If ever passing through Yuma again I'll definitely choose a different park. Sad when a business as large and broad as theirs takes advantage of a little old senior citizen!

Nice and quiet. Been coming here for years. Things change over the years with different managers etc. Some good some not so much. Overall we have been very pleased with this resort. After reading some of the reviews I beg to differ. Watching people in their RVs trying to negotiate the One Way streets which are well marked I must comment. Before we bought a park model we had a long rig ( 55 ft overall ). No problems at all getting in and out of the park. Watching some people trying to get into a spot or around in the park makes you wonder why they are even allowed to be out on the open road. Then they write a really nasty review about the parks roads and spots. Maybe learning to properly operate your rig would be a start and taking responsibility for your own actions. The park generally has people available to guide you in. Use them. We travel extensively and this park is a great value for the money. You just can't please everyone all the time. Some people just see the negative things wherever they go. We will continue to enjoy the Cocopah for many more years. Cheers.

We come through Yuma about twice a year and always stay at Cocopah. They have a huge dog park which our doggies look forward to. There is a free dog wash which we take advantage of. The annual folks are very nice to us and maybe when we retire we'll buy a place here. We generally stay for 2 to 3 nights. This gives us plenty of time to go to the dentist and optometrist in Mexico.

This is a senior over 55 resort, very clean, very clean.... the rv place is gravel, with a cement pad too.. but it's so cleani.... restroom, showers, very nice ... laundry facility great... a piddle park for the doggies... you can only stay in the rv dog area... very strict rules, but that is why it is so clean...wi-fi ... hard to find...in the library area only... beware the cable, needs to have a digital tv... ours was old ... could only view our movies... pool area, wonderful.... will go again, we stayed 6 nights... husband went across border for dental work, very quiet.. perfect for his recouping rest

We spent one night here, so our view is very limited. The RV sites are rough dirt and gravel with no table, WiFi is too far from the clubhouse to receive the signal, and there is little to recommend the place except for nice walks in the cool hours and the swimming pool. The pool was excellent. The development is intended for snow birds to spend the winter in their tiny manufactured homes which line the branches of the golf course. We would not stay here again.

We spent the winter of 2015-2016 here. The golf course is horrible, but the people who run and work in the pro shop and office are worst. The pro shop is controlled by a control freak. Instead of feeling welcome, I felt as if I was imposing on the staff.

The 'residents' run and control the golf shop. I was told I could not check in for an event the next day, when my friend was allowed to. Last night I tried to buy 2 large coins for the range. The clerk turned to the manager and asked if she was allowed to sell me 2 gold coins. The manager said no - I was only allowed to buy one coin for a small bucket and 1 for a large.

There are leagues every weekday and many weekend events, limiting open golf to afternoons only. Besides the leagues, there are many groups that play together after the leagues, further limiting open tee times. These groups are allowed to play 5-somes in one tee time, so they back the course up. They schedule 80 year old golfers 7 minutes apart. It is common to have 2-3 groups backed up on a tee.

But the course is another story. The tee boxes often do not face down the fairway. Many times I could hardly get my tee into the ground. The ground is so hard, I felt as if I was hitting off concrete. I often felt the vibration of hitting the ground with my irons up through my wrists. no need to worry about filling divots - you can rarely make one. there are no cart paths to speak of. The cart paths on 17 and 18 are rutted dirt tracks. There is no water available on the course. The greens are long, and slow. Many holes have high spots around the edges, making your ball roll off easily.

Besides the course issues, this is an ugly course. There is little landscaping, the only water is retention ponds, except for 18 that follows the river. I regularly saw a pack of 5 wild dogs. It is a tee it up and hit it straight course..... no challenges except to hit in the fairways.

I made the mistake of buying a membership, so I play here... I will not be back after this year.
