One of the most colorful shrines in Cambodia. Many different color Pagodas and painted cows in a very large compound.

散歩していたらお寺に行きつきました。公園の中にあり、地元のお寺といった雰囲気でカンボジアの文化を知ることができました。

This temple is located diagonally across from the Heritage Walk Mall. You will see it clearly as the Royal Independence Gardens are also located here. As with Buddha traditions, it is customary to bring flowers or jasmine flower bouquets ti the temple. You will see at the back of the temple, many shops selling fresh flowers, many made into intricate designs. This is a very busy spot as worshippers buy flowers to make merit at the temple. The temple building it self is Thai style and somewhat plain to look at. If you enter the temple, be mindful of Buddha culture.

Nice shrine not far from the river. I'm not the religious type but it's always busy. There's plenty of shade due to lots of trees

This is a local style temple at the south end of the Royal Independence Gardens in Siem Reap. The temple grounds are open from 6am to 10pm daily. The exterior architecture of the temple is typical of others you will have seen during your travels in Cambodia and Thailand. Most interesting and the main reason for visiting are two statues within that believed to be of Angkorian princesses originally located in the Gallery of 1000 Buddhas at Angkor Wat that are held within this small temple.

Considered sacred, the two statues were hidden and moved to different locations for many years by protective monks in order to keep their whereabouts unknown to invaders and treasure hunters. However in 1990, the sisters were settled here at this temple.

Today, there is a constant flow of visitors making offerings the two sacred sisters. What you will see are two tall and thin statues as well as other smaller figurines. You'll also see numerous stands on the east side of the temple selling incense, flower garments and other items which can be made as offerings to the sister statues within the temple.

Preah Ang Chek Preah Ang Chom Temple is convenient to see if you plan to pass through the Royal Independence Garden while in Siem Reap. Allow 5-10 minutes for your visit, remember to remove your shoes, cover shoulders and be respectful of local customs when entering the shrine which holds the statues.

Right next to the royal residence and supposedly visited by the king. Nice but not special - worth a quick look if you happen to be around.

Many of the pictures attached here are misleading.
This is not Wat preah prom rath and its golden boat, nor is it located in the hills as shown on many other pictures, nor has it long uphill stairs leading to it .
You will be disappointed if you expect these.

It is not far from the other modern Temples and therefore the mistake done (not regarding the hills however).

It is just located in a park and is not impressive at all like Wat Bo or Wat Preah Prom Rath, and yes, it is small.

I wouldn't recommend to go there specially for it but only to stop by if you happen to walk close to it.
