The coffee museum in Dubai, offers a fascinating journey through the history of coffee, explaining traditional brewing methods and artifacts from around the world. The ambiance is cozy, and the staff are knowledgeable, sharing interesting insights into the origins and culture of coffee. I enjoyed a fresh cup brewed in Arab traditional style. Overall, it's a unique and charming experience that combines education with a love for coffee.
From the staff members, Leyla the Ethiopian coffee maker, was my favorite!!

Coffee is my second life, especially in the morning. So I didn't hesitate to go to the museum. The Al-Fahidi Historic District, which houses a museum. Admission 10 dirhams. At the entrance sits a colorful uncle of the local spill. The museum itself is not large, but 2 floors. There are antiques on the ground floor. Coffee lovers can buy something for themselves. On the second floor is a wide selection of coffee books to read and coffee documentaries to watch. At the end they offer coffee and treat you to dates).

A small but nice collection of coffee historical items, as well as some good educational material for those interested in coffee. It’s in historic district so also best to see for the surrounding buildings. There is an SCA (Specialty Coffee Association) certified barista upstairs, and the v60 pour over of Ethiopian coffee I had (30 AED) was perfectly done, if that’s your thing. The coffee sample that comes with the 10 AED entrance fee is not the same (and unnoteworthy).

A small museum, it takes you a maximum of 30 minutes to visit it. You can see a lot of coffee grinders, kettles or pots in which the coffee was brewed. For tasting, you also get two small coffees (one traditional UAE, and one classic) as well as dried dates.

This is a nice small museum and only costs 10 Durhams to enter. It includes free coffee and dates. Lots of antiques and some explanations of the history of coffee, such as the first coffee houses, Japan making the first instant coffee and Nestle making the first freeze dried coffee. Nice and cool inside so a good break from the heat, definitely worth a visit for anyone who likes coffee.

We wanted to visit the old town and we found this fabulous little gem with air conditioning which provided a welcome respite from the baking August heat.
Welcomed by 2 pleasant chaps and served traditional coffee and dates before wandering round the artefacts and little rooms.
Finished off with a second coffee (Ethiopian) which was rich and delicious.
At only 100 aed a well worth it stop off!

My experience at the Coffee Museum in Dubai was a fascinating journey through the rich history and culture of one of the world's most beloved beverages. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in the enticing aroma of freshly brewed coffee and greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I last visited five years ago and was keen to return to enjoy the exhibition, the coffee, and see how it had developed since last time.
We arrived by Uber, and the driver found somewhere quite near the coffee museum to drop us off. There were no signs to the museum but we found it quickly. We were given coffee and dates as soon as we arrived, but no explanation about what we were tasting. Then we began to look around the exhibition and were offered more coffee. This time, the lady was keen to explain how this Ethiopian coffee was different from the Arabic coffee we tried at the entrance, so it made sense. I was pleased she was there. We looked around some more and finished our trip in the upstairs cafe but it was closed unfortunately.
I will visit again next time I am in Dubai but I will try to learn more about the history of coffee before I go. I would definitely call it an "exhibition", not a "museum", but it is very interesting and the lady serving the Ethiopian coffee did an excellent job.

It's a charming little place, inside the Al Fahidi Heritage Area, but it was quite difficult to find it, as the cab driver did not know where it was, and he dropped me at the Dubai Museum nearby, insisting that was the Coffee Museum. Anyway, I found my way here thanks to a group of American tourists (google maps wasn't very helpful here). The person at the ticket counter wasn't one bit friendly - he ordered me to go and sit inside, while another one brought the Arabic coffee and dates that they offer all visitors. The Museum itself is well stocked, but there is no one to explain or guide you around. I guess they offer that only to groups, and not to solo travelers (especially women).

Found out the coffee museum is closed tomorrow (islamic new year). I’m only in Dubai tomorrow and would really like to buy arabjc coffee to bring back for my friend. Does anyone know anywhere to buy good arabic coffee and what the prices usually are?

How can I get to this museum using either taxi or public transportation + walking? I'm unclear on the actual address and the web site is not very helpful. I will be staying at Hilton Garden Inn Dubai Al Muraqabat. Thanks!

you could either take a taxi and ask him to drop you off at Bastakiya which is where the coffee museum is at. You just need to walk you way around it because there are art galleries and cafes in the area. Or if you want to have the tourist experience and discover the whole area, take the metro to Al Fahidi station and from there walk to Bastakiya. You will pass the old Souk/Spice market which is pretty interesting. There will be a lot of tourist information desks there incase you need to ask for directions.
