Maintenance and bar staff are fantastic, helpful and friendly.
HOWEVER, the state of the park is tired and in dire need of attention.
We were given 8x8 unpowered sites. 8x8 they were not. Not only that but we had a rock drain running INTO our sites which made parking, setting up, levelling very difficult, not to mention our "8×8" site was cut down to 6x5 due to it.
Amenities are old and only cleaned once a day, around 10 am. During PEAK SEASON end of December this is unacceptable.
Showers are $1 for three minutes. That's ok, except you have to wait one minute for hot water and that's IF you are lucky enough to get hot water. Water pressure is a joke.
Toilets kept getting blocked and closed down. The park has its own filtrated water source and sewerage plant which does not reflect the amount of campers they allow in the park.
Only TWO washing machines and ONE working dryer in a park this size is totally unacceptable.
Pools are filthy, smelly, unkept, full of debris and stayed like that for the whole two weeks we were there.
Visited the cabins...no air-conditioning in any of them. Beds, couches are old, 'banana shaped', dirty and should have been replaced 10 years ago. Friend's unit was dirty on arrival.
Owners should thank the COVID virus. It enabled them to fill the park, cash in with minimal outlay on repairs, maintenance and upgrades. First time EVER we were glad to be going home.
Tavern was great. Nice and generous meals. Great bar.
So much potential but feels like owners gave up 10 years ago and are just waiting for a buyer take on the task and bring it out of the 80's.
Would only go back if a BIG4 or Inspirations bought it.

This is a great oasis on the Noosa North Shore, great pub atmosphere with plenty of activities to keep kids entertained. Meals were exceptional for pub quality and very reasonably priced. Staff all very friendly and efficient.

The best place to cater to our Church Group indeed. Each unit is spacious, clean, beautiful. 2 swimming pools onsite, good to have no reception in some areas so we could just enjoy the company. The owner is so helpful, awesome & just let us be. We were a rowdy crowd and yet we don’t even drink LOL. Little convenient store onsite & also a bar & restaurant. This place is just beautiful & peaceful. Would highly recommend this retreat for any occasion.

We went with a large group of adults and although the rooms were very old and tired, the food was OK, plenty of it and the activities were good.

Was taken for lunch after a ferry ride. Lovely really fresh salad washed down with a glass of bubbly or two. Friendly efficient staff. Busy and airy.
Would return again.

I stayed here many years ago when this place was pumping. I wanted to come back for the same experience, but unfortunately this "resort" is more like a ghost town these days.
Firstly, the reception/shop closes promptly at 4pm. We arrived at 4.05. The reception had tried phoning me and ended up leaving directions to our accommodation, which was great, except for the fact we ended up in the wrong number 5 cabin. We rang the mobile number they had provided if we had any issues and they didn't answer. I tried the main phone number. An English lady answered and I explained our situation. She said she would send someone down to help us. 15 minutes later no sign of anyone, so we went exploring and found our correct accommodation. Still no-one came near us. Hopefully we stayed in the correct cabin.
The room was clean but old and tired. One chair had a broken leg and my husband nearly ended up on the floor. The king size bed was the best part of our stay. It was comfy! There is no air conditioning in the garden view rooms, just ceiling fans. The water pressure in the shower was just a trickle at times. The water coming out of the bathroom taps was brown.
The pool near us was disgusting. It was the meeting place to a family of ducks, duck poo, leaves, algae and I'd hate to think what else. Plus, the water level was extremely low and the filter was having trouble sucking water in. Stay away! The other pool on the property was better, but I still would not swim in it.
The adjoining tavern was closed, so no meals available. From what I could tell, it opens Fri, Sat and Sun only. It cost us another $14 return ferry ride to drive into Tewantin to get a meal. The shop at the resort opens at 8am and it has a hot box with limited fried food available.
This place is in dire need of a renovation. It could be such a great place for families to hang out. Considering it was the middle of the Christmas school holiday period, I could only see 3 other cabins occupied, that to me speaks volumes.
To get here you need to catch the vehicle ferry, $7 per way (car only). The closest petrol station is in Tewantin.
If you're staying mid week, bring food and supplies. Arrive before 4pm. Don't expect to go swimming in a crystal clear pool. Don't expect luxury accommodation for your $280 per night stay.

Visited the Great Sandy Bar & Bistro last Saturday night with some friends of ours that highly recommended the hotel. Our friends go there regularly . We thought why not give it a go.
I must say the place is amazing and so big. I have driven past it numerous times and never thought to call in.

We booked ahead for a table of 10 and it was ready for us when we arrived overlooking the kids play area as requested. Good start I thought. Kids ran straight to the jumping pillow and pretty much stay there all evening apart from having to come in and eat their dinner. Most of us ordered the steaks and some chicken parmis along with one tandoori chicken salad. The food was terrific, Steak were Kilcoy rumps and just cooked to perfection.
Everyone was happy with the meals. Even though the place looked quite busy, we were amazed just how quick our food came out. Both bar and bistro staff very friendly. We liked the choice of different beers on tap. Didn't get thru them all so I guess we will have come back and try some more.
Bottom line is great food, great atmosphere and family friendly pricing. I too would highly recommend this hotel.

We are Noosa locals who popped in on the way home from the beach for lunch with the family. Limited menu and 4 of us stuck with burgers and got our 3 year old "grilled chicken nuggets". The grilled nuggets were not grilled but highly processed fried nuggets barely resembling chicken. The "Angus beef burgers" were more like premade school cafeteria hamburgers, not nice!! How hard is it to make a pattie!? $85 for a few burgers was not money well spent. What a shame as its a great environment and nice facility for children to play.

The beach that stretches all along North Shore is quite simply stunning, you need to plan how you get there on the tiny ferry, to make the most of your day, but is so worth it.

Take your swimming gear, a huge picnic, a sunshade and lots of water, then wonder at how you can find such an enormous stretch of white sandy beach, you can always find a secluded spot.

Be careful with the strength of the waves, there are no lifeguards along this stretch and the water is forceful. Complete heaven if you stay close to shore and let the waves bash you around like an expensive spa treatment.

Take your best friend and enjoy!
