A nice little zoo in Darwin, with a good range of animals including meerkats and lions, which was unexpected. Their animals seem very well looked after and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. The short crocodile cruise in the man made pond was very well done and informative. A great alternative if you can't make it out of town for the other crocodile cruises. A good spot to stop for lunch as well.

Words cannot explain this beautiful park. The staff are amazing and the animals are so loved. I Highly recommend paying the money to have an animal encounter with the monkeys and meerkats. Kylie the keeper is one of a kind. Thank you for such an amazing day

Nice place to wander round and see some crocs and reptiles. Didnt do the cage of death, but certainly didnt think it was worth the money for the experience from what we saw. Still, for a mid city tourist attraction, certainly gets plenty of tourists

I took my son here and we had the best time. Started with a talk and my son got to hold a crocodile. We were next planned to go on a crocodile cruise. While we waited, we had a look at some of the other animals that were waiting for us to visit.
The cruise was excellent and very informative. The boat is a cage boat to keep the spectators safe. We watched how the man fed the crocodiles and saw some of the other wildlife around. We got to see an eagle (it stole the crocodiles food) and we also go to see the crocodile nests.
After the cruise we walked around and saw some baboons, Merrkats, Lions and other animals.
We then grabbed some lunch and finished the day off in the museum and finally the gift shop.
Staff were so friendly, helpful and full of information.

Not normally not our cup of tea but we were a little out of season for the boats trips to see the crocs … overall a good couple of hours … highlights were definitely feeding the crocs

Holding the baby crocodile and the boat trip was amazing. Richard and Tyson were fantastic demonstrators and really entertained us. CROCODYLUS has its own waterway so when their crocs are jumping they are not a threat to boating. The crocs end up here because they have been attacking people or live stock. A lovely environment for them.

Went with my wife and we both struggle a bit on uneven ground. Walking around the grounds was a bit of a challenge with some parts of access tracks uneven .
We watched the small monkeys being fed and that was interesting, but I found that I felt quite sorry for most of the animals as some of the pens could only be described as poor. The boat ride on the man made lake was the highlight of the day with many crocodiles, including the big fella gracing us with his presence. Courtesy of our guide and skipper dangling chicken carcasses above the water. The walk down to the lagoon to board the boat was down a steep track, and the walk down and up it was horrible in the hot sun and was difficult for me and harder fo my wife. We are near retirement age now and I would have thought that golf buggy style transport would have been on offer for those who would find the walk difficult. It's not as if they did not have buggy on site as the staff use them to service the park. If you were disabled the track would be treacherous. Gift shop overpriced. It was interesting but so last century

A really good place to see crocodiles up close. There are also a range of other Australian native animals and exotic animals as well. The cruise was well worth the extra cost-as there were plenty of crocs to see in their natural environment.

A sad and run down place. The lions and big monkeys looked absolutely miserable and with no team members or keepers around, people we’re throwing food into enclosures and making it worse for the animals, one lady ran down to the very run down lion enclosure to “feed it croissants”, they really need more team members walking the park to stop this kind of thing. The Crocs are stuck in small concrete pools and were antagonized with bits of meat to jump up and make the audience happy.
And it’s not cheap, it’s $40 to get in per person, so you’d expect a little more for the money.

I guess some days the crocs just dont want to be bothered, we did the tour on the man made river the guide was informative and the crocs were not so active a few of them showed there skills but overall it was a little disappointing.

We used a taxi to get there and public transport to get back - some of the taxi's are quite large so it was easy to split the cost and a quicker trip - I think the park is located in Berrimah - the public bus we took on the way home, was longer but we werent in a hurry - took us into the centre of town. I agree with others that the extra cruise option is the one to take when you get there too - its makes the whole visit worth while.

And before you say it I thought this went through to yourselves privately.so wasn't done on purpose and I get its for questions and answers. Perhaps my question to you would be do you believe these enclosures are big enough?. I guess I managed a question and a review all in one. Well diserved though any decent human would agree I'm sure.

I'm going to be writing a reveiw. I sent an email also as I was totally gutted at the extreme small enclosures you have in place for all the animals. I see some of the managementa responses to others saying the same thing and you can never answer what's being said other then they r ok and getting close to nature has its challenges, the only challenge I sore was that they couldn't be any further away from nature and a lion sprays his sent to mark his territory not that he really has to worry about that . My apartment is bigger then there enclosure it was awfully sad to see and I can't believe the obvious many people that seem to enjoy there trio there. It's nothing more then a money making farm for what ever purposes you so choose, meat bags etc. How it's legal I don't know. Yes I agree when you say animals smell etc that's fine but really if you can hand on heart disagree that the crocs and lion enclosures r not to small then so be it, but even if you do support this I can almost garantee you can't think it is. I lasted as far as the Lions so 20 min into the zoo I had to leave. I didn't care for the over priced money you charge if it lines urs and who ever else's pockets then that's good for you. I love animals and would love to work with them and am studying animal phycology at uni, but never would I consider such a place. Hope you enjoyed your xmas with ur nice wages from a place that should be closed down. Those animals would be happier not existing.

Sorry it took has taken so long to see this chain of messages - but navigating around tripadvisor is a new challenge. I cannot understand how you could reach the conclusion that animals at Crocodylus Park are unhealthy ... they receive first class verterinary help whenever needed, the keepers are alert, dedicated and quick to pick up any anomally, and they provide enrichment as standard practice. That you prefer to see animals in the wild, or in open range zoo environments is understandable. But please keep in mind that living in the wild can be a very tough and dangerous business. This year, in tnhe north, perhaps thousands of crocodiles died a very unpleasant death, in the wild, as the late rains resulted in many wetlands drying up. Like sea turtles, perhaps 1 crocodile in 1000 survives from hatching to adulthood. We follow Australian guidelines for space allocation, and as explained with the lions, a grand new enclosure is under construction because we either had to hold two additional ones until this could be done, or euthanase them ... the real choices people have to make. As for the "money-making" angle, if you wish to believe that then go ahead. But in reality, I know of no individuals who put more personal resources into real global conservation problems and research than we do. So although I appreciate your values may be differenht than mine - your right - I sleep better than most at night, and so do the animals under our care.
