What a great place to visit! The tour is very interesting. We learn a lot about the Mayan traditions and mythology. The Melipona bees are at the heart of the visit but we also see a Mayan pig, birds, turtles and we learn a lot about traditional plants in mayan gardens. And the food - wow! We were lucky to be there while they were cooking tamales in a Pi’ib - a mayan oven where they make the tamales with banana leaves and cook them directly on charcoal in the ground. We ate 4 different types of tamales, each of them delicious with a tomato sauce. The staff is so welcoming and knowledgeable too. We’ll go back for sure!

If you are in Yucatan looking for an authentic Mayan experience, Jardin Alak is a must visit! We spent our entire day here and learned so much about the native Melipona bees, and also enjoyed the most delicious Mayan cuisine. The family who runs this place are incredibly kind and generous, plus extremely knowledgable and passionate about sharing traditional Mayan culture! We will absolutely be back to visit our new friends!

It is a very complete experience, as you can learn to make a traditional dish step by step, and then taste it.
In what the dish is cooked, you take a tour of the garden, which is divided into 4 seasons; Marifer who was our Guide, was very attentive and very clear in his explanation, in addition to that he solved all our doubts.
The place is very colorful and has several spots to take photos.

First I want to thank you for the friendly staff, the food was very delicious and more for the tortillas handmade at the time.
We could also see if garden and the Honey harvest where they are part of the preservation of the Mayan bee.
Best honey I've ever tasted!
Super recommended if you really want to have a local and unique experience outside of the tourist that abounds around Chichen.
