An offbeat place, less crowd and so was a privilege. Jowai is full of waterfalls so finding this gem was not tough. The road and the views to the fall was equally very beautiful. The countryside view, paddy fields, small brooks, wild florals on the pathway was a treat to the eyes. The stairway down is tiring but the destination worth that.My kid was very thrilled by the view and splashing the water we had some good time down there.Just go for it.

You have to go through a very scenic route to reach these falls. It's a beautiful landscape. The falls are beautiful though we didn't climb all the way to the bottom of the falls as it was a very steep climb up. Stairs all the way but tiring to climb up all the way. The view we got from the few steps that we did go down was awesome. It's just ten mins from Tyrchi Inn. Road beyond that is horrible. We wanted to see Krang Shuri but had to turn back as it was awful and pathetic road. Shillong Dawki highway work is on. Avoid it.

This is one of many waterfalls in Meghalaya that are not so easy to find, but that is worth the travel when you see it.

At first you will walk alongside a stream gently flowing through rice fields. It is at first a bit hard to see there is a waterfall and to even access it, but once you arrive it is a unique waterfall almost hidden from the world as its last part cascades through a very narrow gorge before it eventually falls down to a beautiful valley below.

During my stay in Meghalaya I found that in some places we could not even access waterfalls as the roads were washed away – it was after all the monsoon season.

This one was accessible and hardly visited, so I had a very peaceful time here, enjoying the waterfall and the beautiful vistas of the valley below. After the monsoon the stream will be but a trickle, so coming in the monsoon is well worth the risk of roads washed away, as the landscape is so lush and the waterfalls so exuberant.

On my day trip to Jowai I found this place really exciting, since it involved some hiking. you have to pass via walkway and enjoy the mighty waterfall. I recommned reaching the end, there are quite a few steps to take though. Wear good sports shoes to make it easier.

Easy track and steps to go down till the end of fall. Although it starts at the tip of fall n there are levels to see near to fall makes it whether one want to explore more or just want to go easy. Beautiful white water fall n easy to approach.

The Tyrshi Falls in Meghalaya (the abode of clouds) is for those who really love nature. No line up, no vendor, no tickets, less nos. of visitors. You can spend as much time in this serene falls overlooking a hard-to-imagine, too-good-to-believe picturique valley with paddy cultivation in between hillocks.

This involves taking some steps of trek which is not pretty sophisticated but the view there is worth the effort.Must watch if you are close to jowai .

This is situated just after the Hotel Highwinds on the way to jowai. ..2km approx on the left hand side. A small kacha road leads us to debussing pt at about 600mtrs. Then get down the steps of 300 + to approach the fascinating tall falls. .In January it has dwindling waters but okay and worthy of a visit.
