Very questionable attitude of bar staff. Went in with 3 friends. Bar man was anything but welcoming for no apparent reason. Needless to say we only stayed for 1 drink. Much better options for a pint in Westport.

Back with an update on this amazing establishment - 2 years after our first visit.
Credit to the Old Grainstore it left lasting memories for us hence why we turned up for Paddys weekend this year.
To my personal astonishment Pat the legendary doorman not only recognised me when I walked up the pub but he also recalled my name!
Myself and my friends felt at home as soon as Pat met us. We found a comfortable corner and enjoyed creamy pints of Guinness for the night.
We could see that everyone was enjoying themselves at the pub.
I will take it upon myself to recommend venue to as many people as possible! I hope this pub gets the attention it deserves.

I don't normally write reviews for pubs but felt I had to after our experience this past weekend (Saturday night over Halloween weekend). I don't think I have come across such exceptional bar staff in all my years, the two guys working there were so friendly, sound and had time for everyone even though they were so busy! They took the time to help me pick a nice alcohol free Gin (not all bars even have these!) and literally couldn't have been any sounder throughout the night! I was in a group of about 10 and everyone felt the same and thought the Guinness, beers and gins were great too! Super cosy bar with lovely attention to detail with the interiors too. Thanks a mill guys and 10/10 for hospitality!!

Spent some time here drinking pints & Japanese whisky and chatting with bartender Ryan. No cocktails made here people. Very interesting place with funky signs, décor, & side and back rooms. There's also an outdoor area.
We'll definitely come back the next time we're in town. Thanks for the fun!

Wow !!! What a pub!!! Absolutely gorgeous... who ever owns this place is a veteran in hospitality!! What a welcome and what a place !! Absolutely the coolest pub in Mayo... and staff exceptional!! I met I think the owner? Sharp looking lad.... made ya so so welcome !! Made our trip to Mayo!!

Walked in and the bar man instantly looked us up and down, he then made us feel uncomfortable and told us go home and come back later. I’ve never felt so unwelcome or frowned upon after walking into a pub. Would not recommend to a friend. Will not be returning.

Cosy, friendly bar. Great atmosphere. We were there late afternoon mid week and it was very quiet when we first went in, but soon got busy - so a nice buzz about the place. Great decor,

Visited The Old Grainstore on Saturday 18th September with my girlfriend. We were instantly made feel welcome by the extremely friendly man at the door (Pat). He showed us to some seats and sorted our drinks. The pint of Guinness is one of the best I’ve had in quite a while.
After a short while we moved seats to the outdoor smoking area. Service was excellent, we were never left waiting on drinks. There was also a great atmosphere throughout the pub! All the staff are extremely friendly and really make you feel like your custom is appreciated. As we were leaving the Pat thanked us by name which was absolutely fantastic!
Thank you to Pat and the rest of the staff for a brilliant experience!

Great spot for a few pints! Service was friendly and relaxed and the place is very cozy. Had a cracking Gunpowder Gin and Tonic here too! You might find that they are full due to COVID restrictions but they will take you name and number and give you a call once a spot opens up.
