We were two couples interested in Photography, Belfast, and the high points of Northern Ireland. Not necessarily Game of Thrones fans, we did see a couple of the highlights, including the dark hedges. My wife and I have cruised and toured many times over the past 10 years, and had some very good experiences. Mark was one of the best. He had great knowledge of his country and its history (some of it firsthand), and enthusiastically gave us some real insights about the country. We particularly enjoyed the factual history of the Titanic, and seeing the original drydock. We had seen the Cliffs of Mohr, and some of central Ireland's scenery, but not any of Northern Ireland's breathtaking coast. It easily rivals the cliffs, and is perhaps some of the most scenic and beautiful country I have visited yet. Dotted with farms and old castles, it is a photographer's place! We also enjoyed seeing the town of Bushmills, and the tasting at the Old Bushmill's distillery. A truly unforgettable experience.
But perhaps Mark's knowledge of the history and conflict in Belfast, and his passion for his country which has known peace for such a short time, was the best part of this tour. I highly recommend this tour (especially if - like us - you don't particularly care about Game of Thrones), and highly recommend Mark, who put some very personal touches into his job!
