This is a small and unimpressive garden, a 2-minute walk from the train station.
Contrary to what other reviewers have written, I found nothing especially appealing to see here.

Now that some more of the coronavirus lockdown restrictions have been lifted for the hard hit hospitality sector with pubs and bars being allowed to serve inside and outside its great visiting some of the great pubs our city is justifiably famous for, while heading to Doctor Duncan's Pub my twin brother Stephen and I passed through St John's Gardens and what a very pleasant time we had.
Located behind St George's Hall, the gardens are particularly beautiful, well kept with lots to keep you interested, there's all manner of memorials and monuments ,statue's and plaques, its just a very pleasant garden area to visit, so peaceful and tranquil, we stayed here for about 15 minutes before going to the pub opposite St John's Gardens and as on every other visit to these wonderful gardens had a great time.

St John's Gardens behind the magnificent St George's Hall is a wonderful peaceful garden area of Liverpool I alway look forward to visiting.
A well kept garden area ,lots of bench seating, its nice sitting on a bench and chilling out or wandering around looking at the many statues and monuments here .
The most impressive monument here is in my opinion is the Monument To The King's Regiment, the statue's honouring Alexander Balfour,James Nugent,Thomas Lester,Arthur Forwood and William Gladstone are also very good ,superb well detailed statue's, there are also many monuments to the armed forces dotted all around St John's Gardens ,my twin brother Stephen and I were here on a Saturday afternoon, we were in fact heading to The Doctor Duncan's Pub and passed through the gardens, we took time out looking at the statue's and monuments before going to the pub ,St John's Gardens is easy to locate along William Brown Street behind St George's Hall, most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area or planning to visit Liverpool.

St. Johns Garden is dominated by the large memorials and many smaller stones dedicated to those from Merseyside who died during past and present conflicts. I am always moved in a very sad way as one of my school friends has his name etched on one of the stones. Andy Webster (died during a bomb attack in Belfast) May 9th 1979. RIP lad ....... a very thoughtful and sobering place to sit or stroll through and reflect.

Located in the city centre is St John's Gardens, a lovely oasis of calm in our busy and bustling city .
Well kept grounds with bench seating to take the weight of your feet ,this is a park area that although only small offers so much to enjoy.
You will notice walking around the garden area lots of monuments and statues, monuments such as Monument To The Kings Regiment ,Monument To Monsignor Nugent ,Monument to Auther Forwood,Monument To William Rathbone ,The Road Peace Monument and many many more ,its a peaceful garden area to visit, most definitely well worth checking out if your in the area and easy to locate behind St George's Hall.

After a quick visit to the museum we stopped to have our packed lunch in the sunny st johns gardens.
Surrounded by beautiful flowers and frshly cut grass this is a peaceful part of the city centre.

There is nothing spectacular about these gardens but there is a bit of nice local history with the statues and with Liverpool being as densely packed as it is, it is nice to step away from the roads for a brief moment and believe you are breathing in healthier air. The park has many benches and always many people sat having their lunches or just reading a book. There was even a topless man sun bathing on one of the tiny patches of grass...and this was on a day when it was 17 degrees...only in England would you see that and nobody bat an eyelid haha. So, no matter what it is, there's always something to see in this little piece of granite and greenery.
