Standard shepherd neame selection of beers even though they're now freehold. Always tidy and clean. Toilets smell like roses and I've never understood how. Lovely friendly bar staff. Just lovely, I don't understand the negative reviews and I don't think that is the fault of the management.

The Malvern is a lovely little pub with some friendly locals and a big good old fashioned golden retriever who roams around the pub. The landlady is also welcoming and handed out some roast potatoes on the bar.

I was welcomed in to this classically British pub by a large dog who was very lovely, followed by a fantastic bar lady called Carol who poured me a fantastic pint of fosters. I sat there with my beer and salted peanuts and made friends with a lovely man called Old Bob, I heard he served in Ireland at the height of their troubles. He wouldn’t talk about it as he was a very lovely humble man.
Fantastic experience, thoroughly recommend this wonderful friendly experience!

Better than The Lanes. You’re actually allowed to do what you want without being policed by the staff. Dogs available for patting, jukebox available for tunes, pickled eggs coming out woodwork. Wallop.

Need to be vigilant and look over your shoulders at all times, was threatened and almost attacked when leaving at the end of the evening.
