This is the most famous temple at kurukshetra. It is one of the shaktipeeth as godess left ankle fell here. Shaktipeeth means where goddess body parts fell. The temple is beautiful and worth seeing especially if you like seeing temples. This is the only shaktipeeth in haryana state .During holidays and festivals there are huge queues inside the temple.

Historical Place
abr de 2019
This temple is supposed to be one of the shaktipiths - Shakti mata Mandir - amongst the main 52 in this world. This temple is fully dedicated to Badrakhali, a stern form of Shakti. This has now become a place where apart from worshipping the Goddess other religious rituals are also held – like first tonsuring of the hair of a son, the Jagaratas during Navratri or religious days etc. One can park one’s vehicle pretty close to the temple and then pass through a large lotus sculpture kept in the middle of the temple compound. One can then have the darshan of the main deity. Worth a visit.

Peaceful

An unexpectedly crowd free and easily accessible Shaktipeeth in Kurukshetra where one can pray in peace. This is supposed to be the place where the Devi's right ankle fell - the silver replica of the same is the primary deity. The compound also has a small temple dedicated to the ill-fated chakravyuh in Mahabharata.

A less known Shaktipeeth
nov de 2019 • A sós
Interesting place, shaktipeeth with the folklore that Sati's left ankle fell here. Good temple, recommendation is to visit Sthaneshwar mahadev temple first (which is said to be the first Shivling placed by Brahma itself on earth and where Pandavas took blessings of Mahadev before Kurukshetra's war) and then visit Bhadrakali temple. Beware that there is another temple with the same name, so ask for Shaktipeeth (can be tracked on Google map too)

It is the place where Ma Sati's right foot dropped by lord shiva. It is the shaktipeeth one out of 52. Now a days it is the main attraction for tourists in Kurukshetra.

Beautiful Temple with great atmosphere
abr de 2019
This is a Shakti peeth. Very blessed area. We went here on a Sunday 28th April. It wasn't crowded. We took part in the Aarti and was able to spend bit of time there. The pundits were good and allowed us to get closer to the idols to pray and offered the chunari. And to be to take the chunari back home. What I found very good was that no brahmans or any priest bothered us for large sums of dakshnana or donations, which is something we experienced in Gokul. Lots of cheats in Gokul! But this temple was very peaceful and an amazing experience. Another very positive thing was that our driver was able to drive our vehicle right upto the entrance of the temple, so not much walking required to get to the temple.

Shakti Peeth!

A quiet temple of Maa Kali.
Ample parking.
Interiors are a bit constrained in space.
Lots of knick-knack sellers outside.
