Very disappointed to find that, after buying cheese directly from the farm shop, it was for sale at half the price in a store in Ganges. I guess it doesn’t pay to but direct. Nice goats though.

You can sample their cheeses by eating them outside of the shop and can also order pizza. The made to order napoleon style 10" pizza is fantastic. We had the blue Juliette and margherita ones and ate them on their picnic bench tables. It was nice to see how they made their cheese and check out the animals!

This small farm cheese factory has a great little boutique. Although they specialize in a small number of types of goat cheese, the quality is excellent. For younger families there is a possibility to get quite close to the goats. There is a restaurant that had delicious looking pizzas with fresh ingredients. Next time, we will plan to stay for lunch. There is a large outdoor dining area.

A bit of a letdown. On the day we visited (a Friday) it was overcrowded with long line-ups for tasting and for purchasing. Very limited cheese choice (three varieties of soft cheese and one hard). Perhaps I am spoiled by cheese mongers back East, but you usually get more variety.

Love this cheese! I’ve been here a few times, but my last adventure was the most memorable. My friend and I had rented a scooter, and unfortunately it had a slow leak in the back tire that was not noticeable until we got to Salt Spring Island Cheese. Julie and Matthias went above and beyond to help us find a local (Matthias’ dad!) to bring his air compressor to fill our scooter tire. We were extremely grateful and appreciative! Thank you so much!

This visit is a short, light-hearted, and yummy drop-in "window" into the goat cheese making farm and business. First you self-tour an indoor goat pen, then peek through a couple of windows of the cheesemaking and packaging area(s) inside the production building, then watch a few more goats (with amazingly shiny, healthy coats) lazily graze l
in a fenced area just beyond a grassy yard where you can sit and/or picnic. It's shadey and there's a sunny, rolling meadow and vista below. After, you can pop into the farm's cheese shop to eyeball and purchase a few varieties of goat cheese to take home with you, or order a freshly made to order goat cheese pizza or try a goat cheese gelato. We ordered both of them and they were delicious! There's also a free sampling table where you can try some cheeses if you want, and there is no requirement or pressure to purchase anything. It's a very friendly and relaxed vibe. Kids around us seemed to be having fun cavorting around the picnic area and looking at the goats, but, note to parents: this place is not a petting zoo, or even an animal "farm" in the classic sense, and some seemed disappointed by that. Children cannot pet or brush the goats, although they may be able to sneak in a few touches through the wire fence if the goats are in the mood, which they're not because feeding of the goats is not allowed in order to protect their health. As adults though, we enjoyed everything about this authentic little farm. The only thing that would have made it "tops" in our opinion is a better-run store (line ups and an awkward food ordering process made it a little trying), and maybe a goat activity/petting area for little kids who so desperately want to experience the rural environment by actually touching goats or being allowed to wander amongst some of the more socialized ones. Even an "ambassador goat" or two would have added a nice touch to the learning experience. Overall, a really positive and tasty experience--and completely free! Thank you to the owners/operators for sharing your world. We would definitely visit again.

Funky little farm and gift shop. We spent a lot of money because everything looked amazing! We weren’t disappointed!

We did an end of day stop just before closing and were definitely the last customers of the day between Christmas and New Years. We were well received, helpful hints and suggestions as well as given lots of time to make selections. First time at the farm but have enjoyed the products for a few years. Worth a stop on Salt Spring if you are on the island for a day or longer.

D’excellents fromages de chèvre , dans un cadre très joli , champêtre à souhait.
Pour la dégustation , vu les mesures à cause de la Covid, attendez vous à devoir patienter de longues minutes. Mais cela en vaut le détour .

The cheese shop on premises was open this afternoon but what was on offer was fairly limited. That being said, we were still able to sample some delicious cheese (which we ended up buying!). It sounds like the pandemic has made it challenging for the company to fulfill its wholesaler duties, and that’s why there is less on offer at the actual store. Still, the property is beautiful and it’s worth visiting.

Unsure as we had a car. I do understand that mopeds are available for rent on the Island.

I would expect that you would have to keep the dog on a leash, and I don't think the dog would be allowed inside the tasting room, But I think quite welcome on the grounds as long as he/she is leashed and under control.
