While in Antigua, we wanted to purchase something beautiful and authentic as a souvenir and we found just that at Sarah Fuller’s Pottery. I had searched online for a local artist prior to our trip and had hoped to visit Sarah’s studio while on vacation. Her studio is minutes from the airport, so we decided to stop on our return home. She met us there on a Saturday when her studio was typically closed! I would highly recommend visiting the studio to purchase something that is a one-of-a-kind, beautiful, authentic memory of one’s visit to Antigua. My only regret is that I didn’t have more room to carry back some larger pieces!

If you enjoy getting to know the artist behind the pottery, you'll love meeting Sarah! Her pottery studio is a bit off the beaten path, but you'll love what you find once you get here.
Sarah is passionate about her work and you'll love the selection of colorful island pieces from small pottery bowls, dishes, to large wall sconces and lamp bases. No one piece is the same. I will enjoy giving these souvenirs to friends and family!

I bought a beautiful bowl with the wonderful blues and greens of Antigua which now sits in my house in Las Vegas and reminds me of the island whenever I look at it. Lovely work.

This quaint shop has beautiful hand made pottery! So much better than the traditional Caribbean souvenirs you will find!

Lovely pieces of pottery at reasonable prices for hand produced art. Easy shopping if you sit in C&C wine bar and observe the offer with a glass of wine in your hand!

Sarah's Pottery is a cute little shop locate in a nice, small, boutique type area. Everything is handmade from local clay in Antigua. Very nice coffee mugs and bowels. Unique dishes and other large items. Allison was the young lady helping us and she was as sweet as could be. She was also sensative to the fact we were going to be traveling home with our pottery and wrapped it very well. It all made it home easily in 1 piece. This is a great place to pick up some true local hand crafted items for friends and family.

Jewel Of The Seas docked in St John's Antigua on 1/21/14 and we needed to kill some time before heading out on an excursion so we went looking for Sarah Fuller's Pottery Shop. All we knew was that it was in Red Cliff Quay. Having been to Antigua many times before we knew what to expect from the aggressive taxi drivers and vendors on the main street most cruise passengers take so we took a right turn off the dock and headed down the boardwalk toward the Exotic Caribbean store. This where many of the non-ship excursions like Adventure Antigua, Excellence, and Creole Cruises pick their passengers. We saw a sign pointing to Red Cliff Quay and walked between the buildings to find a pleasant courtyard with some smaller shops and restaurants. here we found Sarah's shop. It's a small shop loaded with Sarah's original pottery. We always like to support local artists when we can and bought a few of her pieces. If you like handcrafted original souvenirs then I recommend a stop in Sarah's shop.

It was nice to hear the local's version and the historical version. Ask the locals their opinions. It pays to make new friends

We read about this place in a magazine provided on one of the cruise ships as a place to get a great souvenir. If you like pottery, we agree! I always prefer a handcrafted item as a souvenir, rather than something mass-produced, and you'll find that here. This pottery is made from local clay. Although styles were repeated in different colors and patterns, each piece seemed unique. Lots of different types of pottery pieces could be found, from simple little plates to large lamp shades and sconces. I might have rated this location a 5 if more of the pieces had a more Caribbean flair to them, but those were sparce. Many were standard designs you'd find at any good art show - with maybe a tropical focal (but not always). Prices ranged from the $10 clay lizard we bought as a gift, up into the hundreds. The staff was very nice and answered all our questions, and explained the conversion rate and what she was ringing up versus what we would find on our credit card statement - and yes, they took credit. The place is tucked back in a central courtyard, behind the main street buildings, so we had to ask a local where it was and luckily she knew. If you see the Zemi Art Gallery, it is around the corner from that. And it is across the street from the Redcliffe Quay straw market, not on the same side. The store isn't large, but they make the most out of the space with lots of items on shelves, and hanging from the walls - inside and out - and ceiling. My husband was amazed at how well the staff wrapped our delicate objects - they ended up in tight little bundles of newspaper, and got all the way back to Florida in once piece! Mostly one artist was represented (and I don't feel after seeing the works that she actually makes each piece - they just might be made in her studio, but I don't know this for a fact). However, there were a couple of other artists with a few pieces present, one of which I also purchased. Overall we enjoyed shopping at this little gem.
